Bradford Muslim Slams 'Pre-Programmed' Muslim Minds

Dear MPACUK,

I would like to thank you for taking an interest in the political situation in Bradford.
During the Gaza protests in Bradford we saw hundreds of people take to the streets to show their outrage at the war cimes being commited by Israel against the people of Gaza. Yet literally only a handful of people attend their MP's surgeries to express their views, Bradford muslims still have a very long way to go in becoming political aware and it is because of this politically dead mindset of the muslim community, politicians in Bradford think that they have their seats 'in the bag' and they can continue to ignore the concerns of the community because they will still be voted in by 'pre-programmed' muslim minds.
This situation must change and this election is a good opportunity for the people of Bradford and especially the Muslim community to demonstrate that our votes should not be taken for granted and our concerns must not be ignored.

There are many serious issues that muslims need to think about on local a level we have education, employment and community development, then there are also national issues such as unfair legislation that is targeting muslims, unfair policies for combating terrorism, media bias, airport scanners and on international issues such as Palestine and Kashmir. These issues need to be addressed by our politicians on our behalf and they wont be addressed if we dont engage.

I would like to urge people in Bradford to

1. Register yourself and your family to vote.
2. Study and discuss the candidates their policeis and the past track records.
3. Vote strategically for the interests of the community.
4. Discuss with groups that are involved in social justice and ask them their views.

But most importantly get involved.
