Gaza - We Remember

Israel bombing Gaza with white Phosphorus

In London on 27 December 2010, between 1 and 3pm, a vigil was held at the Israeli Embassy in High Street Kensington to mark the second year of the start of Operation Cast Lead.

Between 27 December 2008 and 18 January 2009, over 1500 Palestinians were killed by Israel in a brutal and illegal attack on the Gaza Strip, an attack that destroyed lives and infrastructure. Two years on, Gaza’s infrastructure has still not been repaired due to Israel’s blockade. Families are still living in tents. UN schools are unable to rebuild as Israel blocks concrete and building supplies. Israel is trying to play god with the siege as the Gazans are starved of basic daily essentials and heavily rely on what the Israelis decide to drip feed into the Gaza strip.

Numerous organisations, activists including MPAC UK and ordinary citizens, are marking the 2nd anniversary of Operation Cast Lead using more customary methods and flooding the internet with a rather simple message, one that has for centuries accompanied all man-made tragedies: “We will not forget.”

We will never forget the atrocities which happened during Operation Cast Lead and neither should you as the crimes carry on today! They are still murdered, they are still wrongfully beaten & imprisoned! Their homes are still taken away! They are still starved! They are still restricted of daily basic needs! They still look to the world, to the Ummah – will we not put out a helping hand?

Join us our cause to help send a clear message: End the siege of Gaza! Free Palestine!
