Who are the Terrorists?

Recently, Wikileaks released some rather damning documents. Many of the arguments coming from the USA seem to counter its ideals which encourage freedom of speech down to its very roots. This has been the case since Bush Jr. came to power and now the poison is pretty much in the wound. Perhaps there will be true freedom of speech after all.
The trouble in which the US seems to find herself in is that it removes the false impression which its war machine is running regarding "rebuilding" Afghanistan and Iraq, when it is actually systematically reducing the population by random killings. It reminds me of the disastrous find by Columbus which almost annihilated the so-called Red Indians. What is so important in Afghanistan and Iraq that a country from the other side of the world is willing to go to war with them?
Looking back at how the US has changed over all these years, it seems that it has become its own victim, just like the people of Maple Street in The Twilight Zone (The Monsters are Due on Maple Street - replace 'monsters' with 'Terrorists' and it fits.
The reality now is that America has been shouting 'terrorist, terrorist' and needs to wake up to the fact who the terrorist is - it is not Wikileaks, nor Iraqis, and not the Afghans.
Rod Sterling ends that episode with a very fitting line:
“The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill, and suspicion can destroy, and the thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own; for the children, and the children yet unborn. And the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined…”

Another parroted America-hating lie not based on any actual facts. Like this website, absurd, yet so hate-ridden as to be frightening.

mpacuk=rapist?
Submitted by Dmol on Thu, 29/07/2010 - 11:23am.Why does this site insist on making false claims, the populations of both countries has increased in the last decade.
The Iraq war claimed more lives than would have been claimed if Saddam remained in power therefore it should not have taken place.
The Afghan war however has improved the lives of the majority of Afghans from what they had under Taliban rule, the infrastructure of the country is also better now than it was in 2001.

Why does mpacuk insist on supporting viewpoints and scenarios which would have overall been harmful to the Afghan people while at the same time insist that they are doing whats good for the Afghans and what the Afghans want, this attitude is somewhat similar to certain rapists who are causing harm but convince themselves despite all evidence that they are right and are doing what the victim wants.

You obviously did not read the links, Afghans do indeed consider their lives overall better now than they were under the Taliban, crime under the Taliban was also worse according to the oxfam survey so spare us your pro-Taliban propaganda that they eliminated crime in the country.
Your also ignoring the fact that the Taliban allowed drug growth under their rule, they only stopped it for a bit in order to increase drug prices so that they could get good profits when they sold their heroin.
how can anyone even debate
Submitted by suspicious on Sat, 07/08/2010 - 3:57pm.how can anyone even debate the fact that lifes have worsened significantly under the american 'regime' , specifically in Afghanistan?? stop lookin at figures these r people, and if u want to look at real information then please explain how drug (opium) production has TRIPLED in Afghanistan ever since America invaded? and please check this out b4 u bore us with ur ignorant pro-america response
@suspicious
Submitted by Dmol on Sat, 07/08/2010 - 4:45pm."stop lookin at figures these r people"
Its because these are people that we should look at the evidence so that we can make an educated decision as to what action to take or support.
"if u want to look at real information"
I am looking at real information and that real information shows that opium production has gone up and also that Afghans prefer their lives now than they did under the Taliban.
Poppy cultivation was always increasing it only stopped for a bit because the Taliban brutally suppressed its growth, they only did this however to raise the price of heroin so that they could reap good profits when they sold it, which they did.
But it seems due to your bias you support information that supports your views and ignore or dismiss in information that challenges it.
This is a very poor position to hold.
The fact that you are masquerading as someone who is concerned with the Afghan people only makes it worse.
