Israeli Terrorists Arrest the Same Child 10 times

Meet Muslim Odeh, a 12 year old boy Palestinian boy, arrested by the Zionist state, ten times. He has been taken from his bed, blindfolded and interrogated for many hours in a prison compound. He was punched many times in the stomach by Israeli police. They had no shame in punching a child.

His story gets worse the more you delve in, as he was first arrested when he was just 9 years old. The crime the Israelis accuse him of is throwing stones and Molotov Cocktails. However, when the Zionist state dropped phosphorus bombs on the innocent civilians of Gaza, which resulted in the death of many people, including children, no one was arrested or charged with any crime. Israel just continued with its abhorrent acts of violence.

Odeh was under house arrest, serving time away from his parents at his uncle’s house. If he left his uncle’s house, he would have been rearrested and forced to pay a fine of approximately $1,300.00. How anybody can expect a child to live a normal life within the compounds of just one house and then be expected to pay a fine of $1,300.00 is beyond all absurdities. The Zionist state never fails to show how low it can get.

Odeh said, “I have nightmares. Sometimes I dream that the police are coming to take me, but then I wake up to see that I’m not in prison but in my house.”

Unfortunately, this is not the only time Israel has arrested children. According to a recent report, 194 Palestinian children have been held in Israeli prison centres as of 1st September, this year. According to Addameer, the Ramallah-based Palestinian Prisoners Support and Human Rights Association, “Forms of ill-treatment used by the Israeli soldiers during a child’s arrest and interrogation usually include slapping, beating, kicking and violent pushing. Palestinian children are also routinely verbally abused. Despite recommendations by the UN Committee Against Torture in May 2009 that the interrogations should be video recorded, no provisions to this effect have yet been enacted.”

Imagine the international outcry if a Muslim country had done this. However, the Zionist state commits these atrocities, and the leaders of the world including those of Muslim countries, turn a blind eye. The silence from the Muslims is once again deafening.

Being a Palestinian child means that the child is born into a state of resistance. They have no choice, they will fight for their rights and their freedom. The will fight until the day that Palestine will be free or until the day they die. May Allah, the almighty help them see a free Palestinian state soon, inshAllah.

Life in Palestine depends on the continual mindset and desire of freedom and resistance. However, we in the UK are living a life of luxury compared to the children of Gaza. We have so many rights that we don’t even know how to exercise them. One by one our rights are being taken away, yet we do not resist and we do not fight for our rights.

We need to learn from the children of Palestine. They struggle to exist, whereas we struggle to even learn what our rights are. May Allah bless the children of Palestine, our children of Palestine, Ameen.
