Fatwa on Zionist Blood Dates

"Each riyal, dirham …etc. used to buy their goods eventually becomes bullets to be fired at the hearts of brothers and children in Palestine. For this reason, it is an obligation not to help them (the enemies of Islam) by buying their goods. To buy their goods is to support tyranny, oppression and aggression."
The quote from Yusuf al-Qardawi is clear. But what is the edict of our local scholars and opinion of our local Muslim leaders?
We have many eminent scholars in the UK and we would like to hear them voice their response to the questions below.
What is the hukm (ruling) on the following ...
1. Buying Israeli blood dates
2. Selling Israeli blood dates
3. Breaking your fast with Israeli blood dates
We have many quotes and fatwas from foreign scholars but none from our local scholars.
We request our readers to take this question to their imams, scholars and community leaders and write back to us with the reply.
Do not spoil your hard earned good deeds this Ramadan by buying or selling Israeli dates.

This tactic used by Zionists
Submitted by Tahira on Mon, 26/07/2010 - 5:23pm.This tactic used by Zionists against the boycott would economically affect Palestinians is ridiculous. It is Palestinians - trade unions and civil society groups that are asking the world to boycott Apartheid Israel. And it is Israel that has deliberately killed the Palestinian economy with it's occupation and seige of Palestine.

But Leon Elcock, 16, and 15-year-old Hamza Lyzai could walk free within months after they were sentenced to four-and-a-half years and three-and-a-half years respectively over the death of retired careworker, Ekram Haque.

We should ask the scholars
Submitted by Tahira on Mon, 26/07/2010 - 5:16pm.We should ask the scholars these questions on the Q&A sessions on Islam Channel and other stations... it would be good to ask them about important things like this rather than all the ridiculously petty questions they normally get asked!
