Dear FBI, Get Lost Please

FBI logo

That is my latest plea to the FBI. For ages, they have been infiltrating our community, trying to set us up and expose us as ‘radical militant Islamist extremists’ and have failed to do so. On top of that, their agents are sucking lots of public money for these operations that clearly are not going to achieve anything.

On top of having lots of false terrorist plots in order to try and make the terrorists come out of the closet, they are abusing other civil liberties, even going as far as to sleep with Muslim women and record their bedside chats. Psychological trickery was used in order to trap Muslims to say certain key words in conversation such as the word ‘jihad.’

Such is the story of former FBI informant, Craig Monteilh who posed himself as Farouk Aziz. He went around California trying to root out these terrorists by trying to pass himself off as one with ‘militant Islamist’ ideology. His plot hilariously backfired and in fact, he was reported to the FBI by the Muslim community for being a potential threat. In order to do so, he was paid handsomely, reportedly earning $11,000 a month in the peak of Operation Flex. Now he is filing a lawsuit against the FBI with the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) for mistreatment. Furthermore, he is helping the community he once tried to harm, as it was made public that he in fact was an informant and a false convert.

Call me stupid but I thought the whole purpose of the Federal Bureau of Investigation was to protect the community not harm them. Mr Monteilh rightly said that, "Because of this the Muslim community will never trust the FBI again." Why should we? They have repeatedly shown time and time again that they are not trustworthy. Let’s not forget the other civil liberty abuses they have committed upon individuals like Balayla Ahmad, who complained of sexual harassment upon which, the FBI decided she was a terror suspect. How that adds up logically beats the hell out of anyone with a sound intellect, but such is life.

In the USA and UK, we have all had our fair share of infiltrators in the Muslim community. The question we need to ask is, how on earth are we so easy to infiltrate as a community? First of all, most people’s Islam has been reduced to appearances and rituals. Monteilh’s case for example, showed the following:

"Slowly I began to wear the robes, the hat, the scarf and they saw me slowly transform and growing a beard. At that point, about three or four months later, [my FBI handlers] said: 'OK, now start to ask questions'."

See how easy that was? He was growing a beard and wearing a thoube and suddenly, he must be a pious Muslim. Secondly, the leadership among the Muslims is appalling and when there is no proper leadership among a group, there is chaos and it becomes a free-for-all, for whoever wants to manipulate this situation.

Also, the abuse of Muslim civil liberties is exactly what happens when Muslims do not get politically active. Think about it: your friendly nature, your charity, your brothers and sisters have all been abused in order to extract information that does not even exist. Had that been in another minority, there would have been a widespread uproar about it. Anyone who believes that government policies are not Islamophobic have got a lot to answer for, particularly when Muslims are being purposely set up by authorities in order to legitimise the negative treatment Muslims face.

Lastly, if the government want to stop extremism for real, then they would look to the root cause of the problem, which is their foreign policy. Whenever a terrorist attack occurs, it is always to do with foreign policy towards lands where Muslims are the populous. The government however does not seem serious about tackling extremism and will thrust their chests in arrogance to blame it on some ‘radical ideology’; the politicians do all this talk without acknowledging the origins of extreme ideologies.
