Brown Shows Contempt For Muslims On Eid

The amount of contempt some of our politicians show towards the Muslim community is shocking. Muslim leaders, who pacified the Muslim community with endless talks on minor points issues, have meant the politicians know we are not a politically awake or active community; therefore they can treat us like third class citizens of Britain.

More proof of this was shown this Eid as Gordon Brown refused to even send the community, who by and large voted for his party, an Eid Mubarak message. He hadn't done anything off his own back, but when challenged on this by a handful of Muslims, he quickly got one of his lackeys in Number 10 to issue a statement on his website (Note the date: a day late). It's astonishing that the Prime Minister would just blatantly ignore a large part of the people of this country by refusing to put any statement on the main political websites or mainstream national media channels before such an important date.

What's even more astonishing is that most Muslims are so defeated in their minds that they just accept this behaviour as the norm and would never think of challenging it. Did it even occur to most that the PM hadn't issued a statement of respect for an event that is so important to this country's Muslim population?

Compare this then to the immediate New Year Rosh Hashanah greetings to UK Jews posted on the Number 10 Website. Gordon Brown, who proudly claims his father was a Zionist (any link to his behaviour?) seems to think Muslims are somehow less important to him than the Jewish community - and he could be right as most Muslims do not get political and even in election time vote like sheep without any tactical thinking (if they even vote at all).

Muslims should remember this insult at the next election. Spreading the word of this snub to your friends and family would make it more painful to him in the next elections, especially if you vote elsewhere. Add this article to your Facebook would be a great way of getting the word out.

Or you could do what the Hizb argue and 'sit around and wait for some magical Khaliafah to solve all your problems, just as long as you don't trouble the Government and actually vote'. It is up to you.
