Muslim Victim = Terrorist

balayla ahmed

That is the latest from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut in the USA. A Muslim sister by the name of Balayla Ahmad was hoping to leave university as a chiropractor, but instead, is leaving as a terror suspect, due to the baseless accusations made by the FBI (Federal Bull**** Institution).

Since the start of her university life, she has been harassed sexually by various students. After complaining to different teachers who urged her to remain silent, she pursued contact with the dean. Rather than do anything constructive, her dean simply replied, “My hands are tied. What do you suggest I do?”

The one who sexually harassed Balayla then turned to the FBI and placed allegations of terrorism on her. The FBI then knocked on Balayla’s door and interrogated her, before leaving their business card with her. To add insult to injury, the university decided not to investigate her claims and decided to expel her as of June 2009. Since then, she has got lawyers involved in a lawsuit against the university.

How tragic it is that we have allowed Muslims to become so weak, that we can just be picked off like a massive plate of chips? Do you think the one who sexually harassed our sister could do such a thing if the Muslims had a strand of strength in them? University is supposed to be an enjoyable and educational experience, and she has now been denied both due to the lack of justice by the university and our spinelessness.

This proves the falsehood of the Islamophobic narrative: if the Muslims are trying to takeover the world forcibly, then they should have some sort of muscle in this world. The fact that one of our sisters has been abused in this way, and yet the world is silent shows how we are in fact, useless. Were the mosques supporting her in any way? What is the Muslim Students Association of the University of Bridgeport actually doing to help her in this battle?

When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) heard of a Muslim woman dishonoured and a Muslim man murdered by the tribe of Banu Qainuqa, he marched out the 15th Shawwal and laid siege to the forts of Banu Qainuqa.

Where is this community now? Where is our strength? Do a small bit for our sister and sign this petition to receive justice from the university.

Vanguards are never initially understood or accepted by the masses: Few men are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world which yields most painfully to change
