Disney To Muslim Employee: Take Off Headscarf Or Go Home

A Muslim employee of Disneyland US has been prevented from coming into work after she refused to remove her hijab in front of customers. Twenty-six year old Imane Boudlal says her employer sent her home without pay. Each day she would return to work wearing her headscarf but on each occasion, she was told to remove the scarf or leave.

Imane says she wants to keep working at Disney, so she will continue to turn up to work.

"You can take whatever you want from me: my work, my job, my car, my house, whatever you want. But you will never take who I am: my culture, my religion - no way" she said.

We salute Imane for her courage and offer her our support in standing up to this discriminatory practice of Goofy Disney.
