The Hunger Games are Coming

ramadan

Where Muslims should be fasting for the sake of Allah, most of us merely starve ourselves only to stuff our faces when iftaar comes. We forget the reason Allah commanded us to fast, which is stated in Surah Al Baqarah:

“Oh you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.”-2:183

Our primary intention is to do it to please Allah and this is often forgotten. What is also forgotten is that just because fasting may primarily be a spiritual exercise, there is a whole world around us who are suffering and cannot enjoy the spiritual highs we may gain because of the oppression they are placed under.

Let’s not forget last Ramadan, the people of Gaza had to see the vile sights of Israeli jets waltzing above their heads. Let’s not forget our brothers Babar Ahmad, Shaker Aamer, Talha Ahsan and others who have been unjustly held in high security prisons for no reason. We cannot forget now that our brethren are being hunted in Burma, the continual oppression of Kashmiris and the list unfortunately goes on.

Remember, there are those who are trying to remove our rights as Muslims to practice our religion freely. There are at least 22 anti-Islam organisations working day and night to make sure we are history.

This Ramadan, learn to make a difference. Learn to stick up for Islam and how to defeat the oppression suffocating the Muslims today. See our Advocacy Course for more details which is absolutely FREE for all.

"A small group. They are the ones who carry ambitions for the Muslim Ummah. And an even smaller group from this small group. They are the ones who sacrifice their personal worldly interests in order to act upon those ambitions. And an even smaller group from this elite. They are the ones who sacrifice their souls and their blood in order to bring victory to these ambitions and convictions. So, they are a small group within a small group within a small group."
