Theresa May Shows Her True Islamophobic Colours

What happened yesterday was nothing but shocking. If extraditing 5 Muslims to the US wasn't enough, Theresa May has now blocked the extradition of Gary Mckinnon on the basis that he had Asperger's Syndrome, the exact same condition that one of the 5 Muslim men, Talha Ahsan, had, yet was still extradited to the US.

After receiving over 140,000 signatures on a petition urging the government to reconsider the ridiculous extradition laws, the government ignored the call of those who demanded justice. Babar Ahmad, Talha Ashan, Abu Hamza, Adel Abdul Bary and Khaled al-Fawwaz were extradited to the USA.

We did not call for these men to be freed but to receive a fair trial in the country they were arrested, and to be treated like other British citizens.

To rub salt in the wound of the Muslim community, a community which is always under the spotlight when the government wants to shift the blame to another party, Home Secretary Theresa May,displayed an act of blatant racism and Islamophobia by allowing Gary Mckinnon who was also to be extradited to the USA to stay in the UK, 10 days after the 5 Muslim men were extradited to the US.

Gary Mckinnon suffers from what is known as Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism, as does Talha Ahsan. However there is one major difference between these two individuals, one is white and English, and the other is Asian and Muslim. Hence, the Islamophobe Theresa May extradited one to a country where he is likely to be tortured and receive an unfair trial, and allow the other one to stay under compassionate grounds.

This is not the only time where May has shown her true racist colours. In 2010, Dr Zakir Naik was invited by British Muslims to come to the UK and give a talk to the Oxford Union. Dr Naik is a well known speaker from India and has been very influential in spreading the message of Islam to the masses. His speeches are always polite and non offensive. Theresa May accused him of being a terrorist sympathiser by misquoting him. On that grounds he was not allowed to enter the UK.

A few years ago she allowed a Zionist in the name of Rabbi Nauchum Shifren who stated "that the EDL is the salvation of the West from the Muslim Dogs”. He gave a speech at an EDL demonstration and said “We are still waiting for the Muslims to make peace with each other. They eat each other alive, like the dogs that they are”.

This is clear Islamophobia from a Rabbi who was allowed to enter the UK and attend a demonstration held by the EDL mob. Let's remind ourselves also that the EDL is a threat to the UK, they have caused disruption wherever they conduct marches. Yet they have still not been banned. Why is the Home Secretary turning a blind eye to the home grown extremists? It's quickly becoming blatantly obvious that the reason is that they are not Muslim.

When Raed Salah, a Palestinian with Israeli Citizenship, entered the UK not so long ago, May had him arrested. Why? Not because he was a criminal, but because a Pro-Israeli lobby group wanted him arrested and had provided "evidence". He subsequently won the case against the British Government and was freed.

This demonstrates the lengths to which Pro-Israeli lobby groups go to protect their interests, however the Muslims have no power to prevent their brothers from being extradited to the USA where they are likely to be tortured.

Theresa May, the Home Secretary of multicultural Britain, is either a racist and an Islamophobe, or is very incompetent when it comes to making decisions for the protection of this country and its citizens. Given by her past performances, I would go for the former. 

Earlier this year, Baroness Jenny Tongue was forced to resign by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, as she merely just questioned the action taken by the Zionist State of Israel. She did not do anything that was an embarrassment to the people of Great Britain.

However on the other hand, Theresa May has made many decisions which proves that she is not fit for the position of Home Secretary. 

The decision to extradite Talha Ahsan, a Muslim, but not Gary Mckinnon has made the institutionalised Islamophobia in our government very transparent. It's time Muslims stand up against this abhorrent racism and ensure that this never happens again.
