TJ 'Mega' Humiliated in Climb Down

It seems that the movement for Mosque reform is gathering pace. Tablighi Jamaat have been forced to drop plans to build the Mega Mosque, due to a combination of unconnected opposition, including a virulent, hostile reception from Islamophobes and those who have been taught to fear Islam and Muslims, a genuine community opposition from non-Tabligui Jamaat Muslims and to top it all a heavy-handed, impervious, dysfunctional 'like it or lump it' attitude from the Mega Mosque committee towards all who had real concerns about the style and content of the project.

MPACUK always opposed the Mega Mosque committee until it had demonstrated that the Mega Mosque wasn’t just a vanity project for sectarianism. Sadly, the Tablighi Jamaat chapter responsible were too busy preening about how big their mosque was compared to the Minaj-ul-Quran and Salafi mosques.

MPACUK wonders if these completely isolated individuals even know that in Switzerland the minaret has been banned by politically active Islamophobes. Did they emblazon on their front door, 'No politics in the Mosque' as an innovation to Islam to subjugate their congregation while they schmoozed with MPs, Ministers and the Mayor?

'No Politics in the Mosque' indeed. Their refusals to engage at anything more than a 'me too' political level or activate the thousands of young Muslims who pass through their classes and listen to their sermons have made Muslims reap the whirlwind they sowed.

The Mosque committee refused to concede or even acknowledge that Muslims would want, or even demand, accountability and openness. Their ego and vanity resulted in the spectre of a Mosque churning out bigoted apolitical zombies who think Islam is best practised by turning a blind eye to the political oppression that is directed at Muslims.

These young agents-of-dogma focus on the trivia of the trouser length, whether women are allowed on the committee, can a woman lead a Mosque (no, not prayer...a Mosque!), or whether a Hijab should be black, or dark or can it be coloured...with no knowledge that UKIP is now proposing it be banned in the UK. And never mind acting against the rising tide of hatred aimed at Muslims and Islam.

As a result of the Tablighi Jamaat vanity project and incompetence they rallied a million non-Muslims to sign a petition against the Mega Mosque, and by doing nothing (and yes, hiring a PR firm that did nothing is the same as doing nothing), rallied the BNP, UKIP and the Conservatives in the Mayoral elections to vote against Ken Livingstone for his support for Muslims and empathy for Muslim courses. Ken Livingstone was kicked out, the man who put his career on the line to support them; while they sat on their fat vanity projects and gloated at how impressive their dreams were while the nightmare is engulfing Muslims.

The Mega Mosque committee chimps even failed to mobilise their own sectarian followers to get the Muslim vote out and ensure that Ken Livingstone wasn’t abandoned by the people he supported. They didn’t mobilise, they did nothing. And now their dreams of glory are nothing.

This humiliation of the once powerful untouchable Mosque Committee has sent a powerful message, that if any group... ANY GROUP who wants to open a Mosque, they have to prove that they are accountable, representative of their community and not just their sect, transparent, non-sectarian and, most importantly, that they can defend the Muslims.

If these criteria cannot be fulfilled, then mega thanks but no mega thanks.

Woukd it not be better to spend the money on projects in the deprived neighbourhoods where the poorest of Muslims are concentrated to develop skills and improve employment prospects and the ability to interact with the greater community. Through such initiatives the economy could be revived, poor Muslims could progress out of poverty and hopefully they could help provide community improvements for the whole community.
Surely if would be a wonderful objective to create a situation where no Muslim in UK needs any form of charity rather than constructing an edifice to the power of a handful of elites who will use it to reinforce their inherited neo-feudal dominance.

There was never going to be a mega msajid, the management committee invited companies to do some architect Drawing and plans. nothing was agreed. Chineese wispers and here say's that so and so said that they are building a mega mosq.

also all the different Islamic movement, like tabligh, mpac, islam4u, etc etc the loud ones who shout make all the noise but bear no fruits will get closed but the effort of reviving the deen (tabligh) in brothers and sisters who are sleeping will carry on. they strive with there TIME HEALTH & money for making brothers & sisters wake up from there sleep and smell the coffee.

It is strang that Tabligui Jamaat have been so quiet on this issue. I do not think they have the capability to review failures with a iew to improving.

Mpac seem to have a problem with Tabligh Jamat, You're blaming TJ for all the problems the muslims ummah are facing today. I think its quite childish and simplistic on Mpacs behalf. UKIP and the BNP are the same, both organisations play on ignorance and fears of the british public which we as muslims need to challenge.
TJ work pm the basis of shuras which is sunnah and they were against the mega mosque because they recognise that it was inapporpriate in the present climate. However, the local people in
East London linked to TJ ignored the shura and chose to continue on on there ego trip. It is these people who needs to eat humble pie, atleast they have finally seen sense. We should be thankful for that.

Let's get practical. Exactually how is Biblical Christianity going to be destroyed? By muslims using terrorism?. I dont't think so because it survived the Roman Empire, the Roman Catholic Church, Communism, etc. And these have used violence to try and accomplish the destruction of Biblical Christianity but God has seen to it that it lives and even thrives despite all the opposition. By lies, deception, half truths, propaganda, etc? I don't think so either, because Biblical Christianity is the exact opposite of lies, half truths,deception, etc. Satan has tried mightly to use these tools to destroy Biblical Christianity but has failed. It is not the Brtish public who are ignorant. Too well they have seen the backwardness and violence of the cult that Mohammed invented.

The only people in today's world exhibitng religious violence are the muslims - a third of whom are still illiterate. The West is seeing more and more or the paranoid and sociopathic ways of Islam and we are all aware that the muslim countries are so backward and povery stricken because they still follow ridiculous tenets of a sixth century mentally ill Arab.

Why do so many muslims come to western democratic countries - because that is where freedom and and a chance of a well paid job is - all those good things that Islam could never manage because it kept its followers uneducated and poor so they wouldn't realise that there is a better world outside Islam.
