Action Alert: Explain Yourself Theresa!

The blatant double standards displayed by the Home Secretary Theresa May, with regards to the extradition of British citizens have made our jaws drop; the level of inhumanity and injustice facing the likes of Babar Ahmed, Talha Ahsan et al are simply astounding.

First, there was the European Court of Human Rights, giving the all clear for the extradition, followed by the media storm, where primary focus was given to Abu Hamza, neglecting the circumstances and situations of detention of the other prisoners. It is as if the European Court of Human Rights does not recognise Muslims as human beings….

Now, one of the non-Muslim detainees, called Gary McKinnon has not been extradited on the grounds that he is an Asperger’s sufferer. What about Talha Ahsan? Is he not an Asperger’s sufferer also? On what grounds is Theresa extraditing other detainees except Gary?

It is clear that there is an Islamophobic line being treaded here, and we must make a noise and we have every right to demand an answer from Theresa May, as to how she could commission such inhumanity.

The other tragedy is that the National Autistic Society supported McKinnon’s case. but not Talha’s and we have to ask them why aswell.
