BBC 1 Airs 'Great British Islam' Wed 11:15pm

Most people think that Islam came to the country during the 60s when Muslims immigrated from their homelands. Nothing could be further from the truth. There were a number of English gentlemen who embraced Islam, even when it was dangerous to do so.

It shows what an inspiration Islam was to them and how it transformed them to be a positive force in society, not just couped up in rituals like the Muslims of today.

MPACUK recommends this programme, not only because it gives an insight to a side of Islam we have never seen before, but to understand and realise how the real manifestation of Islam occurs in today's world.
