Letter to MPACUK: MPACUK are Wrong for Attacking the Hizb

As salaam alaykum wa rahmatullah,

I find it objectionable that you would like Hizb ut Tahrir to street tramps who "grovel" for the money of non-Muslim governments. This claim has been repeated by The Conservative Party, and various media outlets, and is utterly ridiculous. This is slander I would of expected from their likes, but I would of thought better from a Muslim organisation such as MPACUK.

Hizb ut Tahrir funds itself privately, and makes it a principle to never take money from anywhere else, this is a fact which is well known. The Islamic Shakhsiyyah Foundation teaches Islam, not "HT Islam" (as some have called it in their ignorance). The idea of a Khilafah is one which is well known and has existed within orthodox Islamic doctrine since the primordial days of Islam. This idea of Khilafah has been espoused by many classical scholars, having lived centuries before HT was ever founded, and is championed today by contemporary Muslim scholars who have no affiliation (or even admiration) for Hizb ut Tahrir, which is only one of many groups which call for the implementation of Shariah through an Islamic State, which is an obligation from Allah (SWT).

As a final note, one would have to consider that throughout this country, there are members/affiliates of The Conservative Party working within schools, and who are the heads/members of PTAs. The Labour Government gives money to these schools just like any other, but I would never see a headline on the front page of a newspaper, a T.V news report, or indeed, an article on the MPACUK website, (or any other Muslim organisation for that matter) saying something to the effect of how The Labour Party has blundered because it "funded" The Conservative Party. Such a claim would be ridiculous and laughable.

I think that MPACUK has done itself a great disservice by openly attacking another Muslim organisation like Hizb ut Tahrir, which never goes out of its way to attack other Muslims, and as far as I'm aware, has never had an article condemning your organisation on its website. This is poor form on your part and you would do well to rectify it in preparation for the future, as I'm sure false propaganda will be invented against us again. While your contempt for Hizb ut Tahrir is already well known, it would have been better for you to voice your issues (whatever they may be) with Hizb ut Tahrir alone and in private, we are always open for discussion, and have said so many times over. But the more overt path you have taken in regards to the HT is rather disappointing. While you may have disdain for us, we are still your brothers and sisters, believe it or not. You have condemned your brothers in the open, using false charges made by people who you yourselves disdain, like the Neo-con Centre for Social Cohesion, led by the author of "Neo-conservatism: Why we need it", Douglas Murray, not to mention The Conservative Party front bench.

The next time your brothers and sisters (from any group) are attacked with false propaganda, I would hope you remember my words and do the Islamic thing and stand up for them, rather than jumping on the bandwagon. And may Allah (SWT) protect us from that and bless those who follow the right path and work for the re-establishment of His Deen.

Compare this then, to Mosques, University Islamic Societies (ISOCs) and even certain websites that not only shut down complaints from the very Muslims that fund them, but also get violent in the process. May Allah bless brother Sheroz for standing up and holding a Muslim group to account, we hope more Muslims will start to do their duty and force accountability upon our ISOC and Mosque Leaders who have failed and more often than not betrayed us.
