There isn’t a week that goes by without having to endure some sermon about the merits of freedom of speech. I can’t help but wonder why I need to be dictated to about freedom. Quite frankly, I am bored of being moralised to, you are dishing it out to the wrong people.
In fact, spare me the lectures about freedom of speech, liberty, democracy, justice and equality as I might decide to relinquish my freedom as it seems that the people who are drawing up the terms and conditions manipulate such values to suit their own agenda.
It seems to be a fair game for Zionist organisations to spit contempt in the face of freedom.
Take a look at recent events in Manchester and how the Zionist lobby mute any inkling of honest debate. Israeli based charity, Physicians for Human Rights (PHR-I) arranged lectures at local hospitals to discuss the basic human right of access to health care in conflict zones. But this seemed to be an affront to the sensibilities of the local Zionist community. The same old underhand smear campaign and false accusations of ‘anti-Semitism’ get churned out in a pathetic attempt to silence and impede justice.
I wonder how you manage to get such political immunity? Answers on a post card.

It's outrageous the influence
Submitted by Infidel on Tue, 10/11/2009 - 11:32am.It's outrageous the influence lobby groups can have in the democratic system.
My advice is to try yelling 'Islamohpbia'. That usually has a similar effect when used selectively. There are plenty of examples of it. In fact the UN is about to outlaw any criticism of Islam as such, after massive pressure from the Organisation of Islamic Conference.
Terrible, isn't it?
PS "spare me the lectures about freedom of speech, liberty, democracy, justice and equality". They would fall on deaf ears, huh?
Anyone for a game of Danish Cartoons and Satanic Verses? On second thoughts one could get oneself killed.

Submitted by John House on Tue, 10/11/2009 - 6:18pm.This is really funny, Muslims scream about freedom of speech but do not allow the practice of Biblical Christianity in Muslim lands without persecution or discrimination. They should also remember that their favorite lacky institution, the UN, also enshrines freedom of speech and religion
As for this defemation of religion resolution, which only was meant to protect Islam, it will not stop the practice, and evangelization of Biblical Christianity. We can continue do so just as well underground as above ground.

Submitted by Sulman on Wed, 11/11/2009 - 12:59am.HAHAHAHA I love it when the Zionists get riled, look at all of them (or more likely just the one posting under different names) jumping at the chance to discredit the truth.
Hey haven't you got babies to kill and Palestinians to ethnically cleanse? What are you doing posting here.
Damn they must pay well. You get paid to sit on your backside and post lies under articles.
Hey where do I sign?
Freedom
Submitted by Jorja on Wed, 11/11/2009 - 1:26am.If freedom speech is annulled where then will muslims spout their hatred of non muslims, especially the Jewish people? Most of the mosques would be closed down because of their hate speech and gender inequality. Sharia law would be chucked out because women cannot sit in the benches (as it were).
There isn't a week goes by where we do not see some Islamic people telling us how awful our democratic system is.
Just think for a moment, it is the muslims who benefit from free speech more than any other group in UK. If there were not free speech the jails would be filled with muslim bloggers, muslim preachers and muslim antagonists.
Certainly, let us outlaw free speech and see how muslims like it because you will be the ones who suffer because of it.
If you don't like western democracy there are other options - there are many countries who deny their people justice, equality, free speech, liberty and even liberty of mind where you will be moralised to day and night.
Why on earth are you in the west?
If you don't want the morality of all the equalities of the west - go to an Islamic country where you will

The free speech lecture is always given to british muslims ,but when british muslims use free speech then it is anti-semtic-jew hating-incitement to violence and hatred.
As i have said many times it is open season on villifying and demonising muslims courtesy of the government.

Free Speech
Submitted by RP on Wed, 11/11/2009 - 2:39am.Sometimes it amazes me what some people think they can get away with. In this case repressing a universal human right (free speech) for all expect Muslims and islam. Pardon me but who the hell do you all think you are dictating who is entitled or not entitled to free speech?. Just because you think you all (Muslims) are victims does not give you the power to tell others what they can or cannot say or belive. Well let me straighten you all out. Your not victims of the west but of your own stupitidty and ignorance.
This was a spat between Zionists
Submitted by Q on Wed, 11/11/2009 - 10:49am.The "Zionist" campaign to prevent PHR-I from speaking to medical professionals tells us more about the management of those hospitals than it does about the "Zionists". PHR-I is a Zionist organisation insofar as it is composed of avowed israelis who are liable for national service like any other Israeli Jew, and support the continued existance of the state of Israel. Their issue is over the policies of Israel in relation to the Palestinians and access to the Israeli health care system and the conduct of IDF etc towards the Palestinian Red Crescent operations and Palestinian hopsitals.
It is evident that the hospitals' management did not want to find themselves embroiled in a contentious issue and therefore took the "cowardly" route of cancelling the lectures.
On the other hand PHR does not have an unalloyed reputation for balanced reporting and have in the past made such attrociously inaccurate statements in their reports that they have undermined their own position and damaged their own credibility. PHR has tended to adopt a singularly narrow focus that excluded other relevant issues, which distorts the position they present.
There are real and fundamental issues relating to access to health care that apply not only to the Israel / Palestine situation, but also to the entire developed world. PHR-I asserts that all humans have an inalienable right to access health care. If this is so, then foreign nationals must have a right to access UK's NHS healthcare by universal right, but it is self-evident that this would be unsustainable and unacceptable to the UK population.
There are very serious allegations made against the IDF which need to be investigated and subject to possible trials. On the other hand there is daily collaboraton between Israeli & Palestinian health care professionals and inistitutions that provide material benefit to Palestinians and the augmentation of the Palestinian health care provision. Having said that there are serious breaches of international law by Palestinian forces in respect of the misuse of health care facilities and Red Crescent insignia, which appear to be a matter of policy rather than opportunistic individual incidents.
Given the situation it is perhaps not entirely surprising that the UK hospitals chose the "cowardly" way out. A better route woudl have been to host a more developed presentation in which the entire situation, and not just PHR-I's claims, was explored.
At the end of the day this was a spat between two sets of committed Zionists.
