Public Comment: I Was Enraged Watching Bukhari Talk About Luton Mosque

I was watching Islam channel and Ashgar from your mpacuk was participating on a politics & media program, just like to say that im enraged by the view he portrayed! He is generalising the muslim masses (although i agree there is alot of ignorance in the mass muslims not only politically but ignorance of ones faith is also major problem) especially as he said those who “ just and pray go the masjid” as doing nothing.

I was enraged further when he failed to understand the brother from masjid ghuraba, Alhamdululillah the brother was explaining that there is no success if we don’t return to the methodology of ahlus-sunnah. This does not mean we just sit down and as Ashgar put it “ passive islam” - we partake in all areas of the community whether it be locally or internationally as long it does not contradict the teachings of Islam.

Alhamdulillah brother Ashgar has lot of zeal but ignorance and zeal is a bad combination. May Allah increase you in beneficial knowledge so you can firstly remove ignorance from yourself and then help remove it from others. Ameen!

I'm not against the work MPACUK is doing but you have to understand statements like the way brother Ashgar did is not correct and the only success is calling to Allah in its total sense whether it be political, economical, social etc, but the main errors that muslims make is that we cannot go against the teachings of al-Islam and to understand the way forward we also need to engage with scholars who aware of contempary issues so they can guide us to what is inline with the quran and sunnah.

When you talk about polticial activism you should listen to the lectures below, these are from the early 90s, muslims have been participating but you understand activism in the western framework,

In this case, it seems our spokesperson was simply reacting to the Imam of the Luton mosque who said ‘it was un-Islamic to get involved in Democracy’.

This type of ignorant thinking is the reason why Muslims are in such a powerless state and have thus far remained pacified in the face of growing Islamaphobic hatred in Britain and wars abroad.
