Howells of Derision

Labour Friends of Israel crony, Dr. Kim Howells, has suggested that the Government pulls British troops out of Afghanistan and uses the money saved to spy on British Muslims (Howells uses the weasel-worded phrase “certain communities”). Not slow to miss an opportunity to erode our civil liberties, Howells seems to be happy to turn Britain into a police state. The irony of such measures changing the nature of our country when the politicians claim that that is the precise objective of the ‘extremists’ should not be lost on anyone.
