Illegally Occupied Palestine

63 years of occupation, 63 years of oppression, 63 years of injustice, 63 years of war crimes committed by Israel upon the Palestinian people; yet the “sumud” (steadfastness) of the Palestinian people remains as strong as ever.

The ‘Zionist Narrative’ on the cause of the conflict:

There is this myth perpetuated by the Zionist lobby that during World War II, Jews fled Europe to reclaim their “eternal national homeland” in Palestine. According to their narrative these refugees started building up their communities, but they were met with violent opposition from the “Palestinian terrorists”, who had anti-Semitism at the heart of their opposition and had the same aims as the Nazis.
Thus, the Zionists were forced to defend themselves and that is the root of the Arab – Israeli conflict, according to them.

The only people able to believe this story, are those who still believe the earth is flat…

In other words, it’s complete nonsense.

The true cause of the conflict

The truth is the Zionists believed that there was this mythical “land without people for a people without land”. When they arrived they found 700,000 Arab/Palestinians who were the indigenous population since the seventh century. The Zionists who believe the land was promised to them by God, took active steps to ensure the indigenous Arab population was completely dispossessed, so that Historic Palestine could become an entirely Jewish State.

Then the noble colonial masters, who happen to be our very own British Government, stepped in. They did the most extraordinary thing, even by colonial standards, they “on behalf of one people (British government), promised to a second people (Zionist movement), the land which belonged to a third people (Arabs)”. George Galloway

The Zionists formed the State of Israel and then began ethnically cleansing land they believed to be part of Israel; this included mass deportation of a million Palestinians from their cities and villages, the massacre of 13,000 civilians and the razing to the ground of hundreds of Palestinian villages; this has come to be known as the Nakba.

This is the true root cause of the Arab - Israeli Conflict. This is the truth that the Zionists are trying to hide from the world. We won’t let them.

Israel: The only state in the world that can get away with serial violation of international law

United Nation’s Resolution 242 calls on Israel to withdraw from the territories it has occupied since 1967, this includes the whole of the West Bank, the whole of the Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, which includes Masjid al Aqsa and Masjid al Sakhra (Dome of the Rock). 

Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown said in his evidence to the Chilcot Enquiry, that his prime reason for supporting the invasion of Iraq in 2003, was because “Iraq was a serial violator of international law”.

Yet, it is Israel that has violated international law for 44 years.

Their occupation defies international law,

Their siege of Gaza defies international law,

Their illegal separation barrier defies international law.

So it seems that there was one rule for Saddam Hussein's oil rich Iraq and another for Israel.

The Occupation: imagine if it was us…

Regrettably, the British media and establishment cover up the true face of the Israeli Occupation in Palestine.

So what you read here may be a shock to you; it is aimed to be a wake up call.

Imagine every morning waking up to the smell of sewage, unimaginable for us, a gross reality for the Palestinians that live in occupied West Bank. Across the area, everyday raw untreated sewage is pumped out of the illegal Jewish colonies, via large metal pipes, straight on to Palestinian land. This can become poison, as through the pipes it can enter groundwater and reservoirs.

Imagine every morning works starts at 7am, it’s just a half hour journey away from your home, but you have to leave home at 3am, to get a good spot in the queue at one of the 120 Israeli checkpoints, which happens to be on your own land.

Imagine your pregnant mother, being forced to spend days at crossings, even when in need of urgent attention, because of the blockade of Gaza.

Imagine her having to give birth to your new baby brother or sister at an Israeli checkpoint, or worse, imagine her having a miscarriage or even dying because the Israeli forces didn’t allow her access to medical help.

From 2000 to 2006, 68 Palestinian women gave birth at checkpoints, there was 34 miscarriages and 4 mothers died at Israeli checkpoints.

Imagine your legitimate capital city, Al Quds (East Jerusalem), being "Judaized" by systemically having Islamic assets destroyed, by threats of evacuation and sabotage to Muslim areas of worship and by prominence being given to Jewish settler organisations, who threaten the physical and demographic landscape of  East Jerusalem. 

Isn’t Al-Quds meant to be the third holiest city in Islam, what are we doing to stop such immoral and illegal actions by the Zionists?

Imagine us being in the situation of those in occupied Palestine; naively we would be thinking our brothers and sister in the west would be working night and day to free us from the brutal occupation.

Unfortunately, our brothers and sisters in the west are more passionate about how long one's beard should be, or hating each other because one follows a different sect.

But it’s not too late, we can make a difference, we can end this occupation.

Facts

During the War on Gaza, Israel has used the banned chemical agent, White Phosphorous, on a civilian population. The incendiary weapon causes deep burns and inhalation can be fatal.

Israel is the only country in the Middle East to have a nuclear arsenal, with up to 400 nuclear warheads. This is enough to destroy every major population centre in the Middle East.

Israel receives more aid from the United States than the whole of Africa.

What can you do to help end the Occupation?

• Become active — Join/support MPACUK. Join/support other organisations working for Palestinian freedom.

• Lobby the media, institutions, the British Government and your local MP to denounce and break ties with the terrorist state of Israel.

• Work with your Palestine Societies on university campuses, help them organise meetings, film shows and conferences.

• Join the Boycott Campaign of Israeli goods.

• Join and be active in demonstrations against the occupation.

• Outreach: talk to your family, friends, neighbours about the situation in Palestine.

• Contact your local Mosque, respectfully request that the Imam talk about the oppression in general and the occupation of Al-Quds in their Friday Speeches and other events.
