Just voted:

May Allah bless you.

I was reading a book by a non-Muslim who said that prophet was indeed the greatest of men. Subhannalah

Naseby:

What a completely pointless exercise! Do you really need an internet poll to convince you that x,y or z is the bloke of all time? This is reducing historical figures (and some whose existence will never be proven) to an X-factor-style vote. And if Mohammed doesn't win, will you be dismayed? No, presumably not - so what is the point? If I was a religious man I would call this blasphemy.

Ho ho ho:

"Muhammad (SAW), Jesus (PBUH)"

You people are not just bonkers, you are ignorant too.

Stop being so melodramatic 'Naseby'...this exercise is neither positive or negative. If you are as quick to scream 'blasphemy' regarding a poll like this- good job your not a religious man then.

Imran Karim:

The poll is neither scientific nor authoritative.

Waste of time, IMO.

"vote for Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as he *is* undoubtedly the best man in the world."

Hang on: Muhammad *is* blah, blah??? *IS*????

If memory recalls he has been *dead* for at least 1400 years and has a whacking big tomb in Medina.

Or does MPAC know something that has been widely missed by Muslims for the more than one thousand five hundred years?

Thersites:

"Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority: still more when you superadd the tendency or certainty of corruption by full authority. There is no worse heresy than the fact that the office sanctifies the holder of it. "

You're absolutley right! I can barely pick up a 'quality' newspaper these days without being overwhelmed by the moral cowardice and degradation of my country. Even without being a religious man I can see that there is a need for a little Puritanism here.

As for the poll - it's just a bit of fun. Not really worth an MPACUK article though, is it?

SHAH:

To put Muhammad (saw) and Isa (Jesus (as)) as one of the nominees is not only wrong but are beyond the organizers requirements. These two men are the Prophets and Messengers of the Creator of the Universe, Life & Man... ALLAH (swt). So to add them to a poll such as this is to suggest that they are anything less.

Muhammad (saw) is the praised one. He (saw) is praised from every corner of the world from every minbar in the face of this earth. He (saw) is praised 5 times a day everyday. His name is given by every Muslim parent to the new born child. I can go on but a time will come when the authority of this Ummah i.e. under the shade of the Khilafah will reach the East and West as shown to Muhammad (saw) by Allah (swt), and every household on the face of this earth will name themselves Muhammad - The Final Messenger to mankind and a mercy to mankind.

We will then appreciate and see who the 'Best of Men' of all time is, as there is only one nominee to this debate, and that is Muhammad (saw).

everyone has a right to think or say,as we are already doing--writing these comments--i therefore don't see how one could 'influence' others 1400 years ago and still!--did we vote for the best dad or mum?...because we know the answer--lets not waste time

Guy Macher:

Jesus is the only man who can be called good. Even the Koran said He was the only man who was sinless. Of course, being the Son of God, you would expect that.

ZimbofromSA:

When I read what the hadiths have to say about Mohammed, then my vote will undeniably go to Yeshua. No question about that.
