Jewish Student Union Interrupted Ahmadinejad - ISocs could learn something! Print E-mail
Wednesday, 22 April 2009
287763_beauty_of_writing.jpgThe three 'clowns' that interrupted Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech in Geneva on Monday just as he was taking the podium gave the first cue to an appearance that was punctured by heckle calls. At its (anti-) climax, delegates from 23 EU countries left the hall.
A protester with a wig was led away by UN security after he tried to interrupt the speech of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the UN Racism conference at the United Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, Monday.

The rainbow-coloured wig-wearing youngsters were Rafael Haddad, Jonathan Hayoun and Jeremy Cohen, three Jewish French students from L'Union des Etudiants Juifs de France (UFJ), the union of Jewish French students.

They positioned themselves at opposite ends of the hall when Ahmadinejad took the stage, and as he uttered his first words whipped out the clown wigs from their pockets and yelled 'racist' at the Iranian president.

Note: We want Muslims to consider this, when was the last time an ISoc emir in this country has ever organised a similar action. It seems the ISocs are so pathetically pre-occupied with talks on 'Jinn' and yet another talk on 'the Seerah' that action to defend the Ummah is beyond them.

Typical behaviour from Zionist! I was not surprised to see people leaving during the Geneva convention, after all they are all allies of Israel, but I admire Admedinejad, he is the only leader that spoke for the Palestinians, our brothers and sisters that struggle and die everyday because of Israel and Zionism! But where are the other Muslim and Arab Leaders? Noone seems to speak on behalf of the Palestinians! Allah sees everything and we will all receive what we deserve sooner or later, May Allah saves us from Hell and let's continue to make doah and pray for the Palestinians and all brothers and sisters in Iraq, Agfhanistan and all around the world!

Abdulhafid:

Can I just note a few things:

1. Palestinians bear a huge responsibility for what happened and continues to happen to them. As do Americans, Europeans and pretty much everyone else. Do not limit it to Israel and Zionism - it is not historically correct.

2. Arabs talk a lot any chance they get. But everyone knows it is only hot air.

3. Irrespective of what anyone says, the current state of affairs will continue until the Ummah finds itself again.

4. What worth is a conference, the outcome of which has been drafted and approved before it even began? It is nothing more than a talking shop.

See how these people try everything to prevent others from hearing the truth about them.

Well, the news is that it's not working and the tide is turning. The truth hurts sometimes, but the President of Iran only voiced what people know already and up until now were too scared to voice openly because of the Israel lobbies.

Well done President Ahmedinejad, and here is to more of the same.

salam
jamal shayyal of the NUS... when he was a student, bravely stood up in front of shimon peres and hundreds of jewish students and shouted peres down in public.
but did mpac ever report this no. instead you were too busy cursing and stabbing this hero in the back and a few weeks later you wrote lies about him on you website.

mpac are hypocrites... its almost like the jewish students are you heroes and that you want the muslim students to fail.

shame on you

I don't hate on politics BUT perhaps a our brother Emirs want to retain a decent level of adaab in their political protest and NOT copy the kuffar's stunts (whether they are effective or not - that's NOT my point) - talks on Jinn and the Seerah - are NOT pathetic - and I find that quite contradictory in your aim to "save the ummah" as I perceive it.

Salaams mpack,

Isoc's do much grassroots work that raise awareness of issues such as Palestine and other pertinent causes of our ummah, which are much more effective and longer lasting than heckling at a conference. Consider the number of justice weeks organised by Isoc's in london, the number of events and talks and courses on Palestine and other similar issues, all that were dealt with creativity and wisdom, and that are often organised in conjunction with other non-muslim societies. And since when does having a talk about the seerah become pathetic?
Let us all have some commonsense and applaud the work of isoc's in this country, the beacons of communitywork on their campuses.
