After 13 days of in-depth investigation, the nine are due to be deported after being handed over to the UK Border Agency. Two of the 12 men arrested during Operation Pathway on April 8 are still being questioned under anti-terrorism legislation. According to The Times:
What do you think? UPDATE: The remaining suspects have been released without charge. Readers have left 16 comments.
Rob:
What else do you expect from the government deceit and propaganda is their main weapon to villify and pass laws taking more of our rights away.
After the G20 protests it is all apparent that this government has taken us half way to being a police state. When protesters are beaten to death then you cross the line from being public servants to being tools of opression.

and the conclusion arrived at by the bbc reporter is:
BBC security correspondent Gordon Corera said: .. But, he added: "I think there will be a sense of a need to learn some lessons from this is in terms of public presentation." so its a 'presentation exercise' rather than a law and order issue.

I wonder if the Pakistani embassy will make a formal complaint?
Guess not, as I haven't seen their High Commissioner on any channel defending Pakistanis wrongly arrested and smeared as terrorists.

'Gordon Brown claimed was a "very big plot" against the UK'
Be fair people, he to do and say something to divert attention from the govt.'s handling of the financial crisis... Just waiting for all the 'kick all muslims out of our the country, all muslims are terrorist etc etc' comments. Then again - I've just said it for them - so they don't need to!

Not surprising at all- Gordon Brown made it out that it was a 'huge plot against the UK'. He should show us what he saw that made him make this statement- clearly the CPS did not see it!!
The government is the real cause of panic and does so when it wishes to distract attention following one of its many failings!

Commando:
Lol, do you even know why they were arrested in the first place?
Someone grassed them up after they beat them in a football match, and the other person 'did it for a laugh'.

In the morning we were talking about how the police action during the g20 demo could have resulted in the death of an innocent man, by Pm we were talking about a police raid as a result of anti-terro police being hauled into gordon browns pad.
BY early evening we were talking about terrorism and all the suspects had been found guilty by Gordon Brown and the Media and Browno was telling off the paki government. By late evening we were talking about preventing paki students from entering the country and how immigration rules had to be tightened. No doubt these events and the arrests suited the police and government but appeasing the bnp and their supporters in this way is still racism and Brown should be had for contmept of court and prejudicing justice but as the vitims are pakis who cares, least of all the courts that allowed innocents to have their lives turned upside and to be held for no other reason than being a paki.

Ladys and Gentleman
we are seeing the awful hate fuelled, divide and rule policy emanating from ex-colonial british histroy which is effective in keeping population going when it has oppostion to it,in this case pakistani bombers,i have to say indigenous community in england want to cover thier own shortcoming towards people from pakistani orgin and target them so they can feel goody-goody. pakistanis & kashmiri orgin cannot emulate other groups who integrate simply because of unfair partition of british india 1947,even so i think ever since pakistanis arrived constant attempts to appease english in general have failed due to acceptance of other immigrant groups at pakistani expense; on the slippery slope of demonizing 1 group of people and turning everyone against them evil has started

The Easter Innocents:
The farce was engineered by the 'security leak' by Bob Quick when he entered Downing Street. May be Mr Quick did it deliberately to distance himself from the whole circus. Wajid Shamsul Hasan has been trying to make the students' case against deportation in the media but newspapers other than the guardian especially the ones owned by Pervert Murdoch are not interested.
