We doubted that any documentary presented by David Aaronovitch could be fair and objective toward Muslims, because of his long track record of Islamophobic attacks. And unfortunately we were proved right.

Aaronovitch couldn't even come up with an original attack against us. He simply repeated an already discredited smear campaign first produced in April by tabloid journalist Jonathon Oliver (in a desperate attempt to save Zionist MP Lorna Fitzsimmons from being voted out by the Muslims she had failed to represent).

Unfortunately for Aaronovitch the truth about what he set out to portray as a sinister Muslim political plot was recorded by a Channel 4 camera crew who followed the MPACUK team throughout. The truth about this campaign has already been seen on British TV - but this "journalist" would rather ignore the truth.

Make sure Aaronovitch is held accountable for this disgraceful journalism. Please complain to the BBC about the biased and inaccurate portrayal of British Muslim political involvement and in particular the MPACUK campaign in Rochdale. Here are some points to raise:

. Why was someone who is obviously biased towards Israel allowed to comment on a pro-Palestinian group like MPACUK! MPACUK contacted the programme makers prior to the documentary being aired expressing concerns and providing a dossier as proof of Aaronovitch's Zionist, Islamaphobic background. A note to make also is that MPACUK did NOT initially refuse to partake in the documentary. But we did however refuse once we were informed that a Zionist and Islamaphobe was the presenter. Why on earth would a pro-Palestinian group trust him! We therefore politely informed the BBC that we did not want to contribute unless another presenter was appointed.

. The BBC should never allow someone like Aaronovitch, who clearly has a hidden agenda, to present and comment on Muslim groups.

. David Aaronovitch failed to live up to the standards of objectivity expected from BBC presenters in the documentary 'God and the Politicians' (28/9/05, BBC2, 7pm- 8pm).

. Why did Aaronovitch fail to mention that the leaflet for which he condemns MPACUK was in fact written by another group?

. Why did he also not mention that as soon as MPACUK discovered the leaflet they had sponsored described Ms Fitzsimmons as Jewish they ensured they were withdrawn.

. During the election the Labour Party were also accused of anti-Semitism for ill-judged posters which they withdrew - does Aaronovitch also consider the Labour party anti-Semitic?

. MPACUK have clearly condemned anti-Semitism and supports anti-Zionist Jewish groups - why does he fail to mention this?

. The full incident was shown in the Channel 4 documentary 'Operation Muslim Vote' as well as being clearly explained on the MPACUK website - why does Aaronovitch still ignore essential facts that are easily accessible?
