It is making my BLOOD BOIL hearing the Israeli PR spokemen justifying their (illegal) actions in GAZA.

My blood boils, when the Israelis claim

1) They are on the defensive
2) They are the victims.
3) They have no issues with Gazan Civilians
4) They are targeting the illegally elected HAMAS government
5) They gave back GAZA 100% to the Palestinians, and are not reoccupying it.
6) They are taking "extraordinary" measures to limit civilian casualties.
7) They are allowing aid to the GAZAN people.
8) They are only targeting HAMAS military machine.
9) They have suffered 8 years of Missile attacks.
10) That Hamas are using "jihadi" rockets.
11) They are co-operating with International Law.
12) Claims that HAMAS hide behind civilians.

This, coming from a regime that gets armed by the USA, Europe, with the latest weaponary and no questions asked.

This coming from a nation who gets away with UN violations, who get away with collective punishment upon Palestinian poeples (recently depriving them of food, water, aid), leaving the Palestinians in extreme hardship and with no dignity.

Then, when the palestinians respond by their home-made rockets (as no-ones wishes them to be armed...WHY ???) they get labelled as "terrorists".

Makes me want to puke at Israel, their PR spokesmen, and their supporters.

It makes my blood boil, to hear

1) BBC and other news outlets continually giving the Israeli spokemen more air-time than the GAZANs, listening to their excuses for the gazan action.

4) Inaction by the USA..no surprises there.

It makes my blood boil when Arab and Muslim Nations who are pussy-footing around, and incompetent to stand shoulder-to-shoulder and unite and make a stand. GUTLESS Muslim Leaders.

I JUST EMAILED THIS LETTER TO MY MP:

I am outraged at the current events in Gaza, where innocent Palestinians are being killed in huge numbers due to Israeli attacks. When Britain suffered terrorist attacks by the IRA we did not launch airstrikes and a ground invasion of Ireland, killing hundreds of Irish citizens. Equally these Israeli attacks are completely without justification.

As my elected representative I urge you to take urgent action to oppose these attacks. Some concrete steps I would ask you to take would be to:- resign your membership of 'Labour Friends of Israel' in protest at these actions- write to the Foreign Secretary to urge him to take stronger action to bring about a ceasefire- put your signature to EDMs and letters to the press calling on Israel to cease its attacks- campaign for an end to the long blocade that has been inflicted upon Gaza- support measures to pressure Israel to abide by International Law and to end its human rights abuses, such as an arms embargo, divestment and sanctions I am sure that you will appreciate that many of your constituents will be interested to hear your response as a measure of your committment to work for human rights on our behalf.

Muslim Ummah??? huh what Ummah?

Last night I was embarrased to use the word to describe the Muslim world today, we have lost the meaning of the word. Where are the Muslim leaders today???? the simple answer is we haven't got any, the Saudis, Egyptions, Syrians, and everyone else just offer punitive words without any serious action. Last night was a dark point in our history when the Muslims stood still and allowed this illegal re-occupation of Gaza and that is what it is a re-occupation to take place.

I almost cried when I heard one Palestinian say:

"we will never leave the Holy land it is our duty as Muslims to defend it, we can easily leave palestine and go into Egypt, Syria, Jordan and stay as refugees and become safe but we refuse to do so, it doesn't matter that we are so few in numbers and unarmed if at the very least we are all eliminated then our plight will remain as an example for the Muslim ummah and a embarrasing thorn in Israel's history. At the very least we will be able to say to our Lord we were there fighting for our rights to the very end. Our only frustration is that the rest of the Muslim world also think that it is only the Palestinians duty to defend and fight for the Holy lands..huh we don't need them if they throw away their responsibility towards the Holy Lands we are proud to be the only defenders, Our Christian brothers here in the Holy lands also share their frustrations at the rest of the Christian world when they say they have forgotten that we exist and that this is the holiest of lands for us too, they have forgotten us and their duties towards the Holy land we are here as Muslims and Christians together defending our homes and our places of worship."

Hamas good or bad I don't care, they seem to be the only ones who unite the Palestinians at the moment. Yes there are elements to Hamas that are undesirable but what other option do they have? how long does one have to be slapped in the face before they say stop that hurts? to use them as the reason for re-occupation just ahead of an election in Israel is the best example of promoting democracy in the Middle East, if this is what democracy means and Israel continues to bang on about being the only legitimate democracy in the Middle East, then they are welcome to it, we don't need such false hypocritical democracies in the holy land, Israel is a shameful and embarrasing example for democracy and don't the Europeans know it?? Even though Sarkozy's is actually making a trip to the region to try and sort this out he will not succeed but at least he tries unlike other powerful Muslim leaders, yes Powerful they can be, this is the time to unite and show unity and bring back some meaning to the word Ummah.

In Britain we may feel powerless to do anything but bringing our hands together and making dua in our numbers can be just as powerful, taking our frustrations to the Prayer mat and directly seeking support from the creater and asking him to send a little bit of courage to the despot leaders we have today should also form a part of our demonstration against this injustice.

Ban Ki Moon thank you for your support but follow it up with action how can you allow this to happen infront of the World's eyes. If the UN is unable to do anything then you may as well pack up and go home (the UN allready lost credibility during the Iraq fiasco)this is the time that they can recapture any dwindling credibility they have left.

Israel's standing in the World is already waning and the World can now see what an arrogant terror spewing nation it is. The whole World was appalled by the Hollocaust but to use that as an excuse to conduct your own is damn right disgraceful.

It was very heartening to see true Jews also standing shoulder to shoulder with the rest of Humanity against Israel during the demonstrations, those of you who are Jewish and find the actions of Israel appalling you must too show your anger and frustration by writing to the Israely embassy and letting them know of the disgust and un-jewish action that they are undertaking.

Some News Channels (I won't mention names) have also shown Israeli citizens also condemning Israel's disproportionate action against the people of Gaza, noble of them to come out but inefective if they can't channel their frustrations to their imbecile Govt.

Shame on the Americans for saying that Hamas is holding the people of Gaza hostage (look up hostage Condoleeza Rice, you seem to be educated enough or so you claim), shame on the Israeli's for trying to imply that the Gazan's have themselves to blame for this inhumane response, and shame on the Muslim leaders who have remained silent thoroughout this saga and destroyed the meaning of the word Ummah.

Which religious text or international law says that one Israely life is worth 50 Palestinian lives??

May Allah azza wajal bring peace to the Holy lands and unite the World against evil intentions. We have NO political power! We write letters, articles and emails, sign petitions, go on marches and contact our MP's and they just ignore us! Nothing ever gets done about enforcing justice and morality. What Israel is doing is ILLEGAL and breaks EVERY ONE of the human rights laws and several EU laws too, yet the system prevents anything being done to enforce the laws Israel breaks with such smug and cavalier disregard.
Yet when it comes to the people, try parking for 10 minutes longer than you expected, or nipping down to the shops with your 6 year old and no carseat, then the fines and penalties come crashing down on you!
For citizens, put one foot out of line or even give a 'wrong' opinion, and you're arrested, fined, charged, even imprisoned! But for systems like power-hungry land-stealing murdering Israel, there are no checks and no laws. Because it's powerless citizens vs powerful states and there's nothing we can do abut it.

Dr Tannnock deeply regrets any innocent loss of life anywhere in combat zones as seen recently in the crisis in Gaza and of course humanitarian aid must be made available to the Palestinians in Gaza which Israel has announced some 7000 tons have been allowed through in recent days. However Dr Tannock is of the opinion that the breaking of the ceasefire truce by Hamas, an EU banned terrorist organisation, and the escalation by it to using long range Iranian supplied Katushya rockets forced Israel to act decisively in a retaliatory way after warning all Palestinian civilians to stay away from potential military targets and where Hamas militants have been deliberately sheltering in civilian areas or along with their families contrary to the rules of war. This action has sadly caused a large number of casualties though the vast majority of these according to Hamas as well as Israeli sources are in fact Hamas militants who support the continued bombing indiscriminately of Israeli civilian areas which is a war crime in international law. President Abbas pleaded with the Hamas leadership to stop this bombardment which Hamas ignored bringing upon the very people it is supposed to protect such a terrible price in human suffereing. Israel will only stop its bombardment of military targets in Gaza when Hamas ceases to attack Israel voluntarily or by force which Israel regards as its legitimate right of self-defence. Conservatives support an immediate UN brokered ceasefire but Israel will according to reports having started this military offensive only agree to a ceasefire on the condition that Hamas not only ceases its attacks on Israel but also also allows intternational observers in to monitor the situation which Hamas is refusing to do.
