arafat.jpgSunday 28th December 2008, Israeli soldiers murdered my brother – 21 year old Arafat al-Khawaja in the village of Nilin, Palestine. They shot him in the heart.

Who was Arafat al-Khawaja? To the Israeli’s? No-one…just one less Palestinian.

To his family and friends this warm, caring and charming young man was everything. Shy and always smiling.

Intelligent and gifted Arafat’s life was taken callously by cowards who hide behind their weapons, terrorising Palestinians. On the same day as Arafat’s death, another young man was shot in the head and remains in a critical condition

Arafat is the 3rd boy to be martyred in the small village of Nilin.

Israeli leaders claim hat the genocide in Gaza in a justifiable response to the alleged threat posed by Hamas.

But Nilin is not in Gaza, it’s in the West Bank.

Moreover, the mounting death toll in Gaza is ordinary civilians - innocent human beings.

As Israel’s reign of terror intensifies and more Palestinian blood flows…how much death and destruction must we witness before the world says enough?

How many more families must be torn apart by the loss of loved ones?
 
How many more Arafat’s must be martyred to the cause?

Is there anyone who never saw this coming?? HAMAS are just as responsible as they are never going to win but instead of trying to negotiate a truce they launch rockets at a foe who they know will fight back relentlessly..And then they sit back amongst the carnage and shout 'no fair'..HAMAS are not fighting for their people they obviously love guns and running around with corpses on their shoulders..As ever women and children will suffer because of the bloodlust of their leaders..Shame on Israel and shame on HAMAS

What about the constant attacks that the Palesinians have had to endure for the PAST SIXTY YEARS? WHAT ABOUT THE RIGHT TO DEFEND THEMSELVES? Why the collective punishment on the entire population of Palestine? Why the ethnic cleansing, illegally occupying, denying refugees to return to their land or restricting movement, denying them food, fuel, water, medicine, bacic human rights? WHAT GIVES ISRAEL THE RIGHT TO MAKE GAZA THE WORLD'S BIGGEST CONCENTRATION CAMP? Israeli retaliation is not proportionate in any sense. Why can Israel get away with violating international laws and the Palestinians starved and subjected to torture day and night with multi faced weapons of destruction? What have the Muslims to defend themselves with EVERY TIME THEY HAVE BEEN ATTACKED? THEY FEEL THE PAIN TOO WHEN THEY LOSE A FAMILY MEMBER. TIME FOR ISRAEL TO STOP MURDERING INNOCENT CIVILIANS, stealing their homes, lands and livelihoods and time to restore all damage caused.
