I would like Irish people to consider this for a moment, here is a person holding an Irish passport and claiming Irish nationality openly stating that his allegiance lies elsewhere. This person lives in Dublin, but has stated quite openly and unashamedly that s/he is prepared to fight against the Irish. Last time I checked that was treason! Readers have left 12 comments.

Can you imagine the uproar that would result from a Muslim saying this, but this ingrate makes the statement on a public forum and no one says anything. Perhaps someone should write to the Zionist embassy in Dublin asking for a comment.

This is THE question that should be asked of Melanie Philips et al.
Chances are you will get a typical Zionist deflecting answer: Britain and Israel are friends. But can you guess what the real answer would be? If the Centre for Social Cohesion means what it says, and has any integrity, it should now conduct an opinion Poll (ask YouGov to do it, why not?) amongst British Zionists (many of whom have dual nationality anyway -- the REAL fifth column). Oh, but don't hold your breath. The charlatans will never ask this question.

Some unheard of, unnamed person somewhere in Ireland says he would back Israel over Ireland in a war and you make this a news item and call for a treason trial.
You must be desperate.

Well said Miranda - why don't we send emails to relevant press officials demanding that such questions be asked. They have no qualms about asking a Muslim is s/he British or Muslim, and which comes first? Time to ask the Zionists. I've already gotten the answer from an Irish Zionist, I wonder if the Zionist embassy concurs with his/her sentiments.

Do you have a problem with that? You show so much hypocrisy, if a Muslim ever said something along those lines, there would be outrage in the mainstream media for weeks on end with endless discourses and discussions about Islam, Muslims, integration, clash of civilisations etc etc etc. When a Zionist says something so treasonous, you take it lightly. How irrational.

They are desperate though :)

Actually, it may not be some obscure Zionist as you say Paul - the forum discussions indicate an Embassy affiliation.

Muslims up and down the country must regularly say things like 'I put the Ummah before this country. I back the resistance in Iraq and Afghanistan against British troops any day'. Indeed, some Muslim scholars would say that it is the obligation of Muslims at least to feel this way.
I think that is a pretty common view within the Muslim community, not universal by all means, but fairly common. And people are not all that surprised, as long as it is words and not action. So fine for Muslims to back other Muslims against the UK in an actual war which is going on today, but one obscure Zionist somewhere in Ireland says he would back Israel in a theoretical war, and you get very excited indeed. Who then is being hypocritical?

You're conflating issues Paul. Resistance to occupation is a moral and human right and Muslims have every right to feel aggrieved when Muslim lands are attacked - I might also point out that opposition to British troops in Muslim lands isn't solely a Muslim concern - as the marches in London and elsewhere demonstrated. There is a huge difference between opposition to occupation and a statement that an individual would throw in his lot with an enemy state attacking the country he is residing in. There is a HUGE difference and the hypocrisy emanates from trying to excuse that and shift the focus to Muslims yet again - you're not a Zionist per chance?

Who then is being hypocritical? Incorrect - Zionists actually warp this country's foreign policy to suit their own agenda (muslims dont!), Zionists also send troops out to get killed for their war (muslims dont)..finally zio-kids go and fight and kill Palestinian babies evey year as they go and actually join the Israeli army in their thousands (muslims dont). Im sorry their is no comparison.

Paulm you know very well that zionists in the world put israel before their chosen contries in which they live.
How else can explain prospective PMs and presidents going before israeli lobbies and swearing to protect israel and calling themselves zionists.

In a startling admission an Irish Zionist in response to the question "If Israel went to war with Ireland - who would you fight for?" answered,
