 Note: Active Rochdale Muslims have sent this into MPACUK urging Muslims to demand a reduction in the the days required to have an abortion. As a website that carries a wide variety of views from all walks of life we have published it to start the debate and get people talking and acting on the issues that face us today. On Tuesday 20 May Parliament will vote on whether to reduce the time-limit for abortion. My message is simple - you need to contact your MP to tell them they should vote FOR the reduction in the time-limit for abortion.
Since 1967, there have been 6,700,000 abortions in the UK. What an amazing number. To contact your MP click here now. Before Muslims get drawn into the George Bush/Tory/Evangelical anti-abortion "pro-life" agenda for the neo-con church I think it might be a good idea to save our own lives first and those of our own children (wouldn't you agree?).
What Muslims should keep away from is for our religious and family values to be used to revive those of the enemy. Learn from the Jews , brothers and sisters.

No one else. — Colin the AthiestWomen’s bodies are theirs and when they enter in to a sexual relationship then they have decided to take the risk of becoming pregnant (assuming of course pregnancy was not desired) if the woman does become pregnant surly no one would agree to have the baby terminated at eight months because everyone agrees it is alive and it would be murder. Why is it murder at 8 months and not at 3 when the baby is also alive? When a woman and man both have consensual sex, why is the opinion of the man totally disregarded, it his child too, both parties knew pregnancy could occur, knowing this they still proceeded surly it is only fair the man to have a say, and for baby to live.

No one else. — Colin the AthiestI do agree on some level, but as Chrisitans and Jewish and many other faiths we consider this as murder? We live in world where contradictions are apparent (between faith and fundemental freedoms) but i say that one should make thier own mind up and not rely on others, whilst the others should not get invovled in the other life unless they are affected by it (as in thier partner of family memebr).
