MPACUK Article changed after complaint by reader Print E-mail
Tuesday, 22 April 2008

Dear MPACUK,

I have read the article on your website. I appreciate some of your points and also the fact that some people possibly associated with the jamaat may have exercised violence against you and your organisation - this was not acceptable even though you and your organisation may have been provocative and touching on their emotions. I do not think that the violence you mention is representative of the Tablighi Jamaat and most likely to represent the individuals who carried it out - shameful of them.

Your approach needs to be respectable and loving towards Muslims whilst you communicate your point - the return Allah (SWT) will give us is inshallah for all of us to rise in goodness.

You should not slander the good brothers by calling them traitors and hypocrites - they are not traitors to Islam and they are not hypocrites to Islam. I pray that your organisation will retract such comments from the website for the pleasure of Allah (SWT) and the forgiveness of Allah (SWT)

The Muslims are facing an enormous challenge in the west - the pressure is very high and we dream that Ken will solve our problem. It is a time now under this relentless attack that we must unite together and work together - otherwise they will alter our Islam and take our Deen away as that is what they wish to do. Encourage our different jamaas to work together. Remember when we disagree, it is so small compared to the many things that we agree upon - we are Muslims and we love each other and must not hurt each other.

Thank you for your email, brother. We have now amended the title of the article in question to Mega Mosque - Extreme Double Standards! and will also be reviewing the language used in the content.
