And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from Thee one who will protect; and raise for us from Thee one who will help!" Surah 4 (Surah An-Nisa), Verse 75 The immediacy of this verse hits you - right now there are people praying to Allah to send those who will help and protect them against the oppression inflicted upon them. In Palestine our brothers and sisters are under seige as Israel declares Gaza "hostile territory" and threatens more collective punishment against the 1.4 million people crowed into that strip of land. We hear the Qur'an recited, but do we listen to this ayah? Join us for a discussion followed by Iftar:
