MPACUK's campaign of ethical buying this Ramadan has reached the ears of the JC. MPACUK have been calling on Muslims and Muslim shops to stop buying and stocking dates produced in Israel. MPACUK have been searching far and wide to check that shops are not selling Israeli dates, as well as alerting the Muslim public to this menace. Most Muslims are unaware that Israeli dates are being sold in Muslim shops and even more are unaware of MPACUK's campaign, but the news has reached the JC! Here is the article below:

Well done MPACUK. Now it's down to the Jewish Chronicle to explain why they are running a story about dates being grown on stolen land and used to oppress the Palestinians without mentioning the reasoning for your campaign. Looks like they are rattled. BTW the Jewish Chronicle spends a lot of time supporting Zionism instead of Jewish issues. Perhaps a new more honest name should be the Zionist Chronicle.

Why oh why is it only the most pro-Israel newspaper that realises the importance of the boycott campaign - and most Muslim media don't mention it??? If only Muslims realised that Israel's supporters know the boycott movement is a big threat to Israel's disposession of Palestine!

I don't read that the Jewish Chronicle views this as an important boycott. Seems more like its tongue in cheek.
It refers to 'helpful pictures of Israel dates'. A boycott of Israeli goods is impossible (as other articles have pointed-out) and fruitless! (lol) Why not be positive and promote Palestinian goods?

My guess is that they presume the shops went for quality and they found it.

Did'nt they say that about Apartheid-Era South African products?
