How Ajmal Masroor Betrayed MPACUK And The Ummah Print E-mail
Friday, 17 June 2005

Some time ago a story broke in the Telegraph that Ajmal Masroor, a well known presenter on the Islam Channel and prospective candidate in the last election for West Ham, had refused to contend the election and resigned because of his association with the MPACUK website.

We couldn’t believe it when we heard it. It just seemed crazy. A Muslim member of the Liberal Democrats stepping down simply for posting a comment asking for volunteers on our site!!!

We began to investigate and called Masroor. He told a great story about the Telegraph and the Independent both blackmailing him. He claimed they told him ‘they would run front page story’s about his association with MPACUK’, thus, he claimed with a voice of an angel and the heart of a lion, he sacrificed his career “to save MPACUK from the Zionists”.

What an amazing selfless man he was.

If he had intended to protect MPACUK, he had a bad way of doing it. The impact was the exact opposite and was a PR disaster. Politicians are a cautious bunch at the best of times, when they saw Muslims resigning and then running from MPACUK they took the hint and ran after them. After all from a non-Muslim perspective, if Muslims were running away why on earth should they fight a Muslim groups corner?

The story however just didn’t fit. And the more we dug the fishier it smelt. We soon found that all was not as it seemed. The Telegraph it seemed did threaten to expose Masroor but not because of his comments on our site, but because of his own tainted past that had been leaked to the press.

To cover his chequered history and stop it from becoming public gossip, he stepped down. The story then was buried by the Telegraph (which is very strange since it seems it was far juicier then the one they printed). Masroor then used MPACUK as a convenient cover for his apparent motiveless resignation.

In short he had sold a Muslim group out to cover himself. Aiding the enemy by destroying our name, and making all those who wanted to call us extremists.

The ‘Character flaw’ he was seeking to cover was in our eyes no big deal. Yes the more so called judgemental religious figures in the community would use it as ammunition to discredit him like they are so prone to do, so they could feel more pious by gossiping about others defects, but MPACUK would have stuck by him through this.

We all have flaws and no man is above them. MPACUK was not the SUN Newspaper and we have chosen not to publish them on this site despite Masroor’s disgraceful actions to harm us.

The crime was not his personal flaw, which could easily be excused or over looked. The real crime was nothing less then pure treachery. An evil nature that would make him betray a Muslim group, harm the Jihad, destroy the hard work of the men and women who gave their lives and their money to fight for Allah just to cover his dirty deeds.

He knew full well what he was doing, and he did a cold calculated move to protect himself at the expense of the Ummah. In our opinion no evil is worse then treachery. It was this evil in Muslims that had destroyed us throughout history.

Then to lie and pretend he was in fact protecting MPACUK, what type of man would do that, did he feel no remorse?

When he found out that MPACUK had become aware of the truth he finally confessed. Even after all the damage he had done to the Jihad, smeared and attacked in the press, political parties using his action as ammunition against us, just when we were fighting the elections and already under tremendous pressure, we were still willing to forgive and forget. We asked simply this, that he write an article saying that MPACUK were an excellent organisation and that he was not at all distancing himself from us.

Even this was beyond him. Like the silver tongue serpent he is, he kept us waiting for it for days, with excuse and lie after lie as to why he had not written it. Every day that he made us wait the enemy capitalised on, branding us an extreme group that even Muslim candidates were resigning because of.

At the time it rocked MPACUK, the years of dedication it seemed wasted. Our efforts had been set back.

Now we know however that it was a blessing. If he had not exposed his wicked nature, he may have become the MP this year, or even in the next election, backed by Muslim groups he would have only betrayed us when we needed him most. Allah works in mysterious ways, and once again it proves the verse from the Quran “They plot and Allah Plots, and Allah is the best of Plotters.”

The Muslim community must hold traitors accountable. We offered him a way out even after his treachery to the community and still he betrayed us. Now we are forced to expose him so that the community should know he cannot be trusted and will betray them.

Will not forget you Masroor. Let this be a warning to you, that MPACUK will never let the Ummah be led by men like you. If you stand in any seat in the country, in any Muslim area, at any time, we will send a team to ensure you don’t win. You have crossed swords with MPACUK, betrayed the Jihad and the Muslims we protect – its time men like you learnt there was a price for your betrayal. You will never be an MP representing Muslims – we will make sure of that.

We need only men/women with morals and who truly understand and will implement the meaning of justice in Parliament standing up for us -no more snakes. To all those who would dare to cross the Muslims - never underestimate the power of MPACUK's dark side.
