  • Housekeeping & Maintenance: 2 Member (Trained Individual)

The Mosque must have Policy & Procedures in place for Housekeeping based upon Islamic Principles. It should also have a dedicated member who could look after the maintenance of the Mosque.

  • Inter Organisation Relations: 1 Member

The Mosque should build and develop links with both Muslim and non-Muslim organisations such as community centres umbrella organisations and professional bodies that represent Muslim interests (e.g. The cities university ISOC and the Muslim Teachers body). The office to have it’s sole aim to develop those links overlooking theological other differences to work together for the common good. With regards to non-Muslim organisations we mean bodies like the Police, educational establishments and prisons.

  • Environment & Atmosphere: 1 Member (Trained Individual)

    • - Safety & Security

    • - Mosque Kitchen

Follow all health and safety regulations. This includes having an environment conducive to spiritual practices. Have an atmosphere that is friendly to non-Muslims. Such an environment can be achieved by implementing various measures ranging from architectural considerations to the placement of aesthetically pleasing features.

  • Special Needs Care: 1 Member (Trained Individual Muslim or None Muslim)

A respite programme for those in the congregation who regularly take care of the elderly or those with special needs due to disability or severe illness.

  • Volunteers Database: 1 Member

A directory of congregation members and volunteers listing contact information and details on profession or specialist skills / business/interests. This can be used in the form of a local yellow pages and also used by the Mosque should a particular skill set be required i.e. youth worker, prison mentor. This will also have the added advantage of promoting closer ties within the wider community.

Total Members in Operations: 6 Members of the Muslim Community
