Dr Jeffrey Lang - excellent talk, especially what he said at the end - very true.

Very true. It needs a white man to say it otherwise it falls on deaf ears. But he sounds like a Muslim, so although heard no action is gonna come out of it. What it needs is "daddy" Blair/Bush to say something and then the Muslims might do something to change current practice. Otherwise all you'll get is "where's the evidence brother?", "It's not the sunnah brother?" "Astagfirullah brother?", "the kuffar are allied enemies against us brother".

Very well said. I feel that some of these exclusions of women etc are cultural rather than Religious and it is these things which are picked upon by the media when they want to mock Islam. Perhaps there needs to be more research into what Islam really says about segregation of the sexes and women Praying in the Mosque, rather than what the leaders of the Mosques say because of their own cultural teachings. After all, at Hajj we see males and females walking side by side.
It would be a shame to think that some were being turned away from Islam because of something which may not be correct.
