A quad bike bounces across battle-ravaged desert, the remains of three dead British soldiers lashed to its back, while a Chinook buzzes overhead. Exhausted squaddies exchange desultory small-arms fire with an invisible enemy. An infantry unit nervously patrols a burning village. Watch the dramatic footage shot on the frontline. These are the images that reveal the gritty, deadly reality of the British engagement in Afghanistan. And they have been released to the world by the angry and beleaguered troops themselves. The sooner both Blair and Bush go, the better it will be for this world. Afghanistan is their personal Crusade along with Iraq. Lies, lies and more lies are what have sent our troops to war and killed our sons. Our own history in Afghanistan has been one of defeat. The Russians were chased back to their homeland but Bush and Blair seem to think they are above all of this. I find it hard to believe that the American public are allowing another 'Vietnam' or are they being blinded by the words of a fool. This is not our war and if Blair is so committed, so sure he is right, then he should send his own sons to fight for what he believes.
