MPACUK has today called for a more ethical Prime Minister with a revised foreign policy that will eliminate potential terrorism. Founder of MPACUK, Asghar Bukhari, said: "Ideally a new leader would emphasise a greater amount of dialogue between the government and the UK Muslim community. The visit by John Reid MP to a London borough last week was a good example of this, though with still much to do. At the same time, we all have a responsibility to get involved in the political process ourselves to ensure we vote out proponents of wars conducted on the basis of dubious evidence." The call comes ahead of Tony Blair’s four-day-long Labour Party Conference for the final time on September 4 in Manchester where delegates will have the chance to have their say on a number of key issues. At the heart of the conference will be a discussion about the Party’s leadership and a set timetable for the Prime Minister’s resignation.Blair's final appearance before the TUC conference earlier in the month was marked by demonstrations, jeers, walkouts and demands for him to go immediately. His speech addressing the rally scheduled for Tuesday will dominate the conference as the prime minister is expected to concentrate on the future and setting the party on course for the next election as much as his past record. MPACUK believes the recent successes of the anti tobacco, anti fox hunting and pro animal testing movements are indicative of what can be effectively achieved through legal and peaceful means. Furthermore the UK establishment of mosques, islamic societies and charities can learn much from this. One person has commented on this article.

Gordon Brown has stated that he will withdraw all troops from Iraq and Afghanistan when he becomes Prime Minister. Does anyone have any updates on this?
