Tony: Time To Go! Print E-mail
Wednesday, 20 September 2006

Stop the War Coalition and CND have called a demonstration on Saturday 23 September, the eve of the Labour Party Conference in Manchester. Coaches and trains are bringing protestors to Manchester from every corner of the UK. The march will surround the Labour party conference and we will perform a die-in to protest the tens of thousands who have died in Bush and Blair’s wars. The march will end with a rally in Albert Square.

“This year’s demonstration in Manchester on the eve of the Labour Party Conference is of special importance. Most of the delegates opposed the war. They will get a big boost from the demonstration at a moment when it really matters. Our demands should be taken up by the whole labour and trade union movement.” Tony Benn

Demonstrate on 23rd September and let New Labour hear our demands:

TROOPS OUT OF IRAQ
DON'T ATTACK IRAN
HANDS OFF LEBANON
NO TRIDENT REPLACEMENT

Tony Blair’s war policies have brought nothing but death, destruction and chaos to Iraq.

Bush and Blair's wars have encouraged Israel's murderous attacks on Lebanon and Gaza.

No reconstruction is taking place in either Iraq or Afghanistan, which are both being torn apart by the continuing occupation. The war was based on lies.

The overwhelming majority in Britain think the war was wrong and the troops should come home.

Any attack on Iran would further inflame the situation in the Middle East.

Coaches are organised in towns and cities across the country. A special train is running from London to Manchester.
