The Israeli cricket team are due to visit the UK this week. They are due to play several matches as part of the European second divison championship, including three matches in the greater Glasgow area. Don't stand by and watch the Israelis play cricket in your backyard, whilst they continue to massacre hundreds of innocent Lebanese and Palestinians on a daily basis!
Act now to show your opposition to the matches and to get them cancelled. If they are not cancelled then we plan to protest at these matches! The world boycotted Apartheid South Africa from sporting events, and the same must be done to the apartheid state of Israel. MPACUK have learnt via Friends of Al Aqsa that the Israeli cricket team are due to visit the UK this week. They are due to play several matches as part of the European second divison championship, including three matches in the greater Glasgow area. Don't stand by and watch the Israelis play cricket in your backyard, whilst they continue to massacre hundreds of innocent Lebanese and Palestinians on a daily basis! Don't forget to tell them all that the total number of runs made by the Israeli team is unlikely to exceed the number of Lebanese civillians (750+) killed by them.

Dear MPAC,
Strike 3.....and you're out! Just when I thought you were beginning to get some decent articles and viewpoints running on this site, getting some pro-active tips and some intelligent discouse you go and do something stupid like this. "how can you see these Israeli's in yourbackyard while they kill innocent people in Lebanon" That's funny, I never knew Cricket players were also part-time child murderers. Stop fueling the fires of hatred with your bigotry. There is a difference between Zionists and Jewish people. It's the administration and policy we have a problem with, not cricket players.

nyrone,
oh, its OK for western leaders to ban Iran from sports activities (although this did not happen this world cup, but the media was full of speculation that they may try to ban it) but when this is applied to Israel it somehow becomes a propaganda. DOUBLE STANDARDS THE TRUE FACE OF OUR SO CALLED EXTREME RADICAL LEADERS, BUSH, BLAIR AND HIS WARMONGERING SUBJECTS.

Whilst you are correct in questioning whether cricket players have anything to do with the current situation, I would like you to consider the historical precedent of the struggle against Apartheid. Of course, individual white South Africans were also disgusted with that terrible system; but they nevertheless benefited enormously from it. Remember that, due to conscription, all able-bodied Israelis can be called to serve in the IDF. It is very likely that the Cricket players have taken part in IDF manoeuvres, or will do so. I think that the best outcome would be for the Cricket Team and its hosts to issue a statement deploring the loss of civilian life and hoping for a quick/immediate ceasefire.

i have sent this email,
dear sir, I am appalled at the notion of an Israeli team entering the United Kingdom to play cricket. Are we giving the fascist state of Israel the green light on what it is doing in Lebanon. Sir, we must take a stand against the atrocities that are being carried out over there. If the Iranians had attacked Israel do you think they would have been allowed to participate in the world cup? I think not. Israel is a state that has no regard for life, it has defied so many UN resolutions and yet i hear we are welcoming their cricket team. Are you aware that 700 innocent civilians, many of them babies have lost their lives, over 750,000 have been displaced due to the tyranny of the Israeli army. This needs to be stopped now. I feel disgusted and very much aggrieved that this should be happening at this moment in time. I think that the cricket board has behaved in a very unsympathetic manner. Rest assured if these matches go ahead, we will be there to protest. We need to unite and take a stand against this tyranny.

Dear Sir,
I was horrified to know that the Israeli cricket team is due to visit the UK. They are due to play several matches as part of the European second division championship, including three matches in the greater Glasgow area. At a time when the Israeli government is committing ware crime in Lebanon and Palestine, Israelis are slaughtering innocent people in Lebanon and Palestine including children, women and UN observers. To be honest I am quite disturbed. By allowing Israel to take part in these activities we are condoning these barbaric acts. It is vital that we stop this and do not allow this to go ahead. There are 1000s of Lebanese and Palestinians who are without homes and loved ones due to Israel, while Israelis enjoy playing cricket!! Those of us who watch and do nothing against the Apartheid State are as guilty. We must not allow this to happen. The Israelis will take this as a green light to commit more crimes, as they see there are no consequences for their actions. I urge you to cancel these arranged matches as soon as possible. I kindly wait for your response. Thank you Regards,
