In a truly ironic and almost unbelievable turn of events, The infamous Omar Bakri (Sheikh to some) yesterday pleaded with British staff asking that he be taken back to Britian.

"The Muslim cleric, who left Britain for Lebanon abruptly in August last year, tried to board a British ship yesterday. He also claimed he wrote to the British embassy asking to be allowed to back on "humanitarian grounds".

Mr Bakri, who founded the now-disbanded radical Islamic group al-Muhajiroun during his 20 years in Britain, was barred from Britain for good by the then home secretary Charles Clarke days after he left."

Its worth reminding that the Muslim trouble maker, ran from Britain when he could no longer stand the heat, and now it seems like he wishes to run back. A choice many of the true victims of Israeli atrocities simply do not have. During his time here, he achieved nothing of merit, apart from a huge amount of publicity which was offered by a media pandering to discredit Muslims in any shape or form.

Having been rejected once, apparently he is lobbying the British Embassy persistently, claiming that he just wants to come back for a week or so on a holiday or student visa.

The cleric has tried repeatedly to get through to the British Embassy to plead for rescue.

He also went to Beirut harbor yesterday morning to try to board a UK warship taking British nationals to safety, but was turned away because he does not have a British passport.

Bakri claimed: "I'm not appealing to get back my right to reside in Britain. I'm just appealing for a visa to stay for a month."

Whilst the developments in the Middle east are not a laughing matter and one can only sympathise with the innocent people caught up in this show of naked Israeli aggression, we call upon those who idolise Omar Bakri to return to their senses. Omar Bakri has once and for all proved his duplicitous nature, he is no longer wanted in this country, by Muslims and non Muslims alike.
