Mohammed Omar, whose blog Rafah Today has consistently provided information regarding the effects of the Israel war crimes on Rafah's inhabitants (the IOF's house demolitions in Rafah left 16,000 people homelesss)was interviewed earlier today by Arab Talk Radio. Download the article and interview.
Mohammed gave an impassioned interview from Rafah while heliocopters and F-16's hovered overhead, destroying everyone's sleep. He said that the Gaza Airport was turned into a military airport. He described attacks and demolitions of greenhouses and olive trees. Rafah is dark due to the IOF's targeting of the electric power plant (a war crime). Rafah hospitals are appealing to the international community to put pressure on Israel to stop its aggression against the 1.5 million inhabitants of Gaza (of whom almost half are under fourteen; the median age in Rafah according to the CIA is 15.8.). He described the awful situation at the Gaza/Egyptian border, where people, some of whom are children and elderly in need of medical care, are sleeping in the streets with no services. The UN observers evacuated this border when Israel began its onslaught. The "world's supporting killing of civilians," he said. "People [are] supporting by silence." While he importuned the US, EU, and international community to "put pressure on Israel," he added that there is "no one to listen." He mentioned the "killing [of] children," and "targeting people in homes. Where should they go? There is no home but their home. [People are] seeking shelter in hospitals," and he spoke about a woman with young children running in the street because her house was shelled. The director of the Rafah Hospital told him that there was no medicine. It is "impossible to move by ambulance from north to south," and "operation rooms are not working anymore," Mohammed reported. "Our children want to live. Our children were not born to get killed by the Israeli army. Don't those people have any heart? They are killing us every day? [We are] exactly like the American, British, Norwegian, Swedish--not born to get killed by the Israeli Army. "The Israeli Army is not coming for fun. The Israeli Army is coming to kill, coming to destroy." He concluded the interview by admonishing the world to "Wake up. Look at us. Stop these attacks. We love life as you love life. It's our right to live. The children need to live. [Have you] no feelings at all. [Is there] no one to say 'No' to the Israelis? They are doing whatever they want to do. The world is silent. The media should wake up." On CNN who approached him: "They want to dictate to me what to say exactly. Sorry to say that." And as heliocopters and F-16's continued to destroy the sleep of the imprisoned people of Rafah, Mohammed reflects on what he and the other innocents have done to bring on Israel's latest war crime: "What I'm doing? I'm doing nothing. I'm talking to a radio station in San Francisco."

Discussion on the kidnapping of the Israeli is largely pointless . Now that a few days have passed Israels Air Force and Army have systematically escalated their bombing and gassing of the hapless unarmed civilian poulation of Gaza.
Notable is the fact that no civilian casualties have thus far ensued since the Israeli Army beseiged Gaza ---which goes to show that the Zionist butchers know the finesse of the art of discriminating when an "errant" shell will kill a whole family on Gaza beach and when thousands of bombs will damage bridges, roads and water and power plants without taking a single life . In any case , following the "sunnah" of the Sunnis in Iraq, an Israeli soldier was kidnapped by Palestinian freedom-fighters. Well and good. It is laudable indeed. But what happens next? The Palestinains and their well-wishers waited like sitting ducks whilst Israeli tanks and jets bought the time to organise and start another massacre on Gaza's borders . Did the generals of Hamas the architects of post-modern warfare against the Zionists even think in davance of what could happen after the abductions and how they would protect themselves? The massacre in Palestine is well under way. The Israelis are choosing their targets and destroying them at theior own leisure . The kidnappers of the Israeli soldier would do better to kill him and put a video on Al-Jazeera rather than allow Israel to continue its onslaught which is getting deadlier by the minute. After killing hum they can trade the soldier's dead body---a kind of bargain which Israel has struck before. The main idea is to get the soldier crisis over with and the best way is to kill the soldier so that the Olmert government realises that its provocative behaviour aftyer the abduction is responsible for the killing. And only a few miles away from Gaza , the Libyan joker, the Saudi King, the Jordanian CIA stooge, the Egyptian tinpot, the Iraqi traitor , the Kuwaiti cannibal and all shades of CIA-enslaved Dictatorial Sheikhs and Emirs who oppressively rule the Arab and the Muslim world are enjoying their hedonistic, retarded, myopic and oblivious lives with French Prostitutes and American Pimps following the advice of their Zionist masters of how to prolong the last few days of their rule, how to betray Islam and Muslims, how to give their oil and their money to the Americans acquiesce before the wishes of Israel, how to pretend that when the bell tolls it only tolls for the poor Palestinians ... 2006-11-28 15:10:46

stop israel and defend the palestinians. they need you now, not later. do everything you can to put an end to this "collective punishment". use what is lawfully availble to you (write/ring to MP, media...ect)
there should be protests in every city everyday right now, not just london. not everyone can make it to london, but if there are protests in the local cities than this should (God willing) send a message not just to the goverment and media but to the people of the cities in which there are a protest and also to the world. a message which will be loud and clear "WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED, WE WILL NOT TOLERATE AND ALLOW THE MASSACRE OF INNOCENT PALESTINIANS, WE DEMAND THAT THE GOVERNMENT TAKE ACTION AGAINST ISRAEL". i what to see protests in cities from london to bradford (and beyond).

Brad Brzezinski:
Well kids, the only death I can find at this point in time, is the 18 year old Israeli kidnapped by the Hamas heroes. All this rhetoric about destruction and killing of children seems to be false.
Frankly, I now see it as the hallmark of the anti-Israeli side.I'm very fond of truth. If you don't tell the truth, I'm against you. I also know that in the long run, though many may die on both sides, the liars always lose.

Brad Brzezinski, at this point the only death you can find is because your memory won't even last for 2 weeks. Do you remember the attack by Israelis on a beach? Do you remember the kids whose heads were blown off before that? Those were kids. Israel is existing on stolen land, and it has to go, if for nothing else than the amount of killing it has done to the native population. But then again you "can [only] find at this point in time". Which means you have nothing meaningful to provide.

If there is one conclusion to be drawn, it is that Israel fear peace. Peace for them would require returning land to their rightful owners, a policy that is alien to a Country fixated on annexation. Peace is an obstacle to a "Greater Israel", which will see the end of Syria and eventually Egypt. Those oppressed by the Nazis, have become the Nazis themselves, only this time with Western approval. The most significant aspect is that this latest addition to the war crimes manual currently in progress in Gaza, was planned weeks ago and an Israeli soldier becoming a Prisoner of War was the main justification for it. I have yet to hear any form of concern for the many Palestinians detained in Israeli prisons, these the victims of kidnap and without any opportunity to defend themselves or have any evidence presented to them. The key to this is the Western world refusing to define "terrorism". Bush, Blair and Olmert would find great difficlty in defining terrorism without placing themselves in the terrorist camp. There will be people calling me "anti-Semite", a word which Israel has adopted, but a very useful way of hiding from a debate they know they will lose.
