How does a nation such as the US try to establish World peace?

By funding Somali warlords to prolong even further long-standing anarchy in one of Africa's most politically unstable nations.

For over a decade now, there has been no central government in place in war-torn Somalia; last Monday the Union of Islamic Courts gained control of the capital, Mogadishu, after weeks of bloody fighting ended with the cessation of warlord-rule.

The Union, which has been supported by businessmen and has extensive grassroots support (especially considering they have established some long-awaited order) aim to establish Shari'ah in the region.  This has offered the warlords an advantage that has been used by various terrorist states throughout the country such as Israel and Russia:  these same warlords responsible for so much chaos and destruction claim now to be fighting terrorists.  This has in turn ensured they have financial backing for the US, for whom this is not the first time interfering in this country.  In 1993 79 US Soldiers were injured and another 18 killed in a failed attempt by the US to enter the country - embroiled in civil war - under the guise of a 'relief effort.'

When will the US ever learn to stop sticking their nose into business that doesn't concern them?

The US has used the excuse of terrorism to pillage, murder, rape a nation of it rich resources, set up a puppet government.

The rest of the mad COWs are only too happy as they wiòll be benefitting from the spoils of the pillage.

Who the hell is the US is to decide what kind of governments should MUSLIM COUNTRIES SHOULD HAVE.

The US/UK and the EU are the most barbaric states and they have created a fascist anti-Islamic gang. They should look at their double standard foreign policy and their disgusting interference in other states is neither welcomed nor will be accepted.

We are sick of our body counts and we will not accept it.

which brings me to the question of democracy in islam. the islamic version of democracy is shura. that is ( consultation) asked off the wise and the knowledgeable.it worked well at the dawn of islam.

but considering today"s dirty politics;shura should be turned into democracy by a fatwa from the scholars. as shura does not have enforcing power;it cannot hold accountable any ruler who does not take his advisers advice. islam is equipped with the principle of fatwa and ijtihad;where scholars are asked to develope or even come up with rules that serve the collective best interest when new life facts arise.none of today's pragmatic islamist rulers are the early muslims of mecca and medina.and unless rulers are held accountable in the here and now;and not only in the after life; the collective interests could easily fall victim to individual interests. power corrupts;and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

This is what the US hates & fears.

They put profits before prophets!1

Mass rioting reveals depth of Afghan opposition to US occupation
Bill Van Auken, WSWS

…………..When an angry crowd gathered, witnesses said, the US troops, supported by Afghan police, opened fire, killing at least four more civilians. Some witnesses and at least one Afghan newspaper claimed that some of the US soldiers appeared drunk
"And the soldier sitting on top was dancing and singing and shouting. Then they drove toward shops and into mobs of people standing there. They drove over them, and I saw people shouting, 'Help!’ because their legs were cut open as the vehicles drove onto them."
In the latest attack on Monday, warplanes dropped two 500-pound bombs on a mosque killing at least 50 people. While a spokesman for NATO claimed that all of the victims were Taliban fighters, the Taliban itself said that none of its members had died and that all of the victims were civilians

From the Annan propaganda diatribe outlet, an envoy from the grotesque cartoon country: “The riots were caused by an incident involving the apparent brake failure of a truck (incident not accident, like UN's Israeli activities not TERRORISM)in a United States convoy and the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) was awaiting the results of official investigations, he said.

No mention of: drunk soldiers, driving over people, cutting legs open, singing, dancing & shouting, dropping bombs on mosques and killing civilians.

Typical UN thug supporters.
Here is some food for thought:

AFGHANISTAN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT REGRETTABLE BUT NO EXCUSE FOR RIOTS, UN ENVOY SAYS
New York, Jun 5 2006 5:00PM
Expressing sympathy to the law-abiding people who were affected by last week’s rioting in Kabul, the United Nations envoy in Afghanistan today said the traffic accident which led to the unrest was no excuse for the looting and destruction which followed.

“Last week can only be described as a tragedy – for the family and friends of all those who lost their lives or were injured, those who had their homes, shops and offices looted and for the damage that these events have caused to the reputation of Afghanistan,” the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Afghanistan, Tom Koenigs, told a Kabul news conference.

The riots were caused by an incident involving the apparent brake failure of a truck in a United States convoy and the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) was awaiting the results of official investigations, he said.

“While we understand the distress and emotion of people caused by this road traffic accident, there can be no excuse for the subsequent wanton attacks and destruction caused to people who had nothing whatsoever to do with this unfortunate accident,” Mr. Koenigs said. “Those who looted shops, businesses and international agencies working for the progress of Afghanistan did not act on behalf of the vast majority of Afghans who are decent, law-abiding citizens.”

He said the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), which he heads, was raising with the Afghan National Police the matter of its failure to contain the disturbances. UNAMA did not see the unrest as a rejection of the international presence in Afghanistan, but as the consequence of decades of war, he added.

Nonetheless, if the country was to move forward, mob violence had to be replaced by the rule of law, he said.

While he could not quantify how much damage the riots have done, a number of investors and businesspeople, both Afghan and international, have said that the problem in Afghanistan has been the insecurity, especially for small businesses.

“Afghans who have become rich in the United States and also for patriotic reasons want to invest here have told me that the security situation is key for their investment because, patriotic or not, nobody wants to lose his or her investment,” Mr. Koenigs said.
