Giving an Islamophobe more attention then they deserve is perhaps not ideal, but sometimes there is nothing like exposing a liar, cheat and above all a hater of Islam and Muhammad (p). Hirsi Ali, whose real name is Hirshi Magan, fits this bill perfectly. Ayan Hirsi Ali, a Dutch MP (oh no, not the Dutch) claimed she was on the run from Somalia, after being forced into a marriage where she was routinely abused. She wrote a short documentary denouncing Islam's treatment of women which also featured naked women with verses from the Koran painted on their bodies. She also claimed Muhammad (p) was the same as Saddam Hussein (I wonder how much Saddam paid her for that). However a recent documentary in the Netherlands exposed her for what she really is.
This is a huge fall from grace for the prominent Dutch MP, after having won numerous awards for "bravery" and "free speech", including a mention in TIMES magazine as one of the most influential thinkers of 2005. Although there are few awards for lying and deceit, her name must surely be on the shortlist.

She is one of the biggest hypocrites. She lied to get into Holland and then campaigned AGAINST immigrants when she joined the right-wing VVD party. She is still being described by the BBC and FT as a "campaigner for Muslim female rights" but in reality she is nothing more than a publicity-seeking charlatan. She is now going to the USA and is joining the American Enterprise Institute, a neo-con, George Bush supporting, think-tank that numbers the likes of David Frum and Richard Perle amongst its members. A person should be judged by the company they keep. Hirshi Magan is an Islamophobe and will use the opportunity to vilify Muslims.

Hirsi Ali was a flawed person, but arn't we all in some way, and were we not then our perfection would elevate us to the status of prophets and beyond. Certainly she eschewed Islam and was critical of much that occurs in the name of Islam. But her criticism was not of the belief in Allah (PBUH) but of the abuses that occur in the name of Islam, which quite frankly are not Islamic but a continuation of pre-Islamic customs. If the perpetrator, of these abuses, claims that they are sanctioned by Islam then this person does more damage to Islam than Hirsi Ali ever did. In the first instance this person portrays Islam in a dishonest and wrong light to non-Muslims. Second this person decieves ignorant and impressionable Muslims about the true path. The noise being made is because Hirsi Ali made us uncomfortable. We were only uncomfortable because too much of what she said was close to the truth, a truth that we cannot yet face. Had what she said been absurdly wrong we would have laughed at it. Perhaps we should thank her for reminding her that Muslims may only find purity when Muslims constantly challenge themselves to live Islam, and not some perversion of the truth.

Now that she lied about being forced into a marriage.Didn't she lied about anything she said about Islam. to my understanding the movie was made because she lied that she was forced into marriage and the director of the movie vugh took that as a truth to make the movie and got killed because that was a lie and her story was based on a lie. I think the family of Vugh should sue her for lying to him and getting him killed for telling a story based on a lie. contact with me if you don't get what i mean.

She is critical of forced female genital mutilation. Aren't you? Isn't that valid? She is critical of forced marriages. Aren't you? Isn't that valid? As far as the documentary goes, per the NYT and other outlets, she has since produced two letters that support her version of the events - the forced marriage. Isn't it possible her family was lying to shame her, having been shamed when she fled them? I hope she does well in America, although I don't think she's a fit with an of the far-right think tanks.

She says that the Quran is not the literal word of Allah, and claims other muslims also think this, well even to have doubt in this is KUFR (Disbelief), Also for someone to leave Islam they have to be a Muslim in the first place, which clearly she was not. If she truly thinks, that the Quran is not the literal word of Allah (Swt) then why doesnt she... stand up to the Challenge of the Quran: "And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur'ân) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him ), then produce a Sűrah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allâh, if you are truthful. But if you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers." 2:23-24 She is just that fuel for the fire, charcoal for a barbeque, like a matchstick to a cigarette, like petrol for a car.
