NUS Annual Conference: Get Elected & Represent Your University Print E-mail
Saturday, 14 January 2006

614737_my_toolsIt's that time of the year again, where you can really make a difference with getting Politically active for the Student Jihad. No idea what I'm talking about? Well let me ask you? Do you want to represent your University Student Union? The Muslim and Non Muslim Students Voice? To fight against facism at the highest level of Student Politics? A trip to Blackpool paid by your Student Union? A chance to meet Students from across the UK?

If the answer is Yes, then please visit your Student Union Website (list provided below) or Your student Union office and ask them what's the date for elections.

1. Find out when nominations open
2. Find the day when the elections will be taking place
3. Fill in the application form
4. Submit it on time
5. Then start campaigning! (a few helpful tips)

! Get your mates from your course to vote for you
! Ask anyone who has a friendly face to vote for you
! Ask the I-Soc/Christian/Socialist/Respect/Hindu/Sikh Societies to help you.

Also, just to mention you don't have to pay a penny for this Jihad, all you have to pay by is just spending 3 days in representing Islam, the Student Union. Everything is paid by the Union from the Food, to the Hotel. The conference is in Blackpool from 27th-29th March 2007.

A few things I would seriously advise you to take is a cushion, a Book or an Islamic Magazine or in my case 'By Way of Deception'.
