This result isn’t just a wonderful victory for Boris and the termination of Livingstone. It’s also a defeat for the campaign – an exceptionally dirty one, at that - waged against Boris by a small band of separatists claiming to act in the name of all London’s Muslims. The effects of Boris’ win will be felt not only in the capital, but nationwide – and they’re worth probing in detail.
A revealing and entertaining look at the shocking number of
government attacks on civil liberties since the New Labour government
took power in 1997.
"We're not living in a police state," insists Tony Blair towards the end of the film. But as Taking Liberties all too clearly demonstrates, we're well on the way there...
Today we were out leafleting for our forthcoming Manchester Event and as we were busy
handing out leaflets and promoting it to our Muslims brethren, one
thing became clear…many of the people we spoke to (brothers and sisters
alike) had an aversion about going to the mosque, here are some the
comments we came across..
This message is to the brigade of hypocrites within Hizb-Ut-Tahrir
(HT), it's offshoots and and other similar groups who advocate and
promote apathy amongst British Muslims. Over the past few weeks, these ill-informed individuals have paraded up
and down the high streets of London promising Muslims a one way ticket
to Hell if they vote. What they actually need is a one way ticket for
themselves…out of Britain!
This article was sent to us from one of our respected readers: A man
wrote a book, and it became a best seller, it was translated into 25
languages, and sold millions and even outsold Harry Potter in other
countries, despite this he faced a major challenge. Not from the
millions of readers who read his book and quit smoking and showed how
quitting smoking doesn’t have to be painful but easy.
The BNP gained a major victory, winning power with its first ever seat
on the 25 member London Assembly by the narrowest of margins - just
0.3% - that's approximately 6,500 votes. Every single Muslim who did not vote against the BNP is responsible for
the fact that this racist Islamophobic party has now gained power over
the lives of nearly 1 million Muslims in London.
This article was sent to us from one of our respected readers: From the
day I came to England, life was not what I expected it to be. I
couldn’t speak or write English, and by the time I did, I faced diverse
challenges and one of them was failing all my exams. And yet, I did not
lose hope.
Debbie Almontaser dreamed of starting a public school like no other in New York City. Children of Arab descent would join students of other ethnicities. A week before the school was due to start she was forced to step down. Daniel Pipes who lead the campaign against her said “It is hard to see how violence, how terrorism will lead to the implementation of sharia. It is much easier to see how, working through the system you can promote radical Islam.”
I agree that Boris Johnson as mayor would be a total disaster for
community relations and the situation of Muslim Londoners. You are
right to be cautious.
But there is no extra risk in voting for Siân Berry of the Greens first and giving your second vote to Livingstone.
"Prophet Mohammed SAWS
told us to always consult the people when making a decision and I believe that message is compatible with campaigning and voting." A recent revert to Islam and Election Agent tells MPACUK why Muslims should get out and vote on 1st May.
I must commend and congratulate MPAC, firstly, for their relentless single minded campaign to encourage Muslims to vote and participate in the political process. Secondly, in recognising the fact that Ken Livingstone is the best choice for London and in particular the Muslim community, and highlighting the dangers of a win for the Tory Boris Johnson. However, I would like to take issue with the approach, and method of this campaign.
Over one hundred thousand Muslim voters in London have been reached in the MPACUK campaign to back Livingstone and counter the HT message of non participation. Tens of thousands of leaflets have been handed out throughout London, highlighting Boris and Ken’s stands on Islam, and Israel. Boris being highly supportive of Israel, and thus unsurprisingly having made extreme anti Islamic comments.
1500 years ago, at a time when Islam was at the height of its strength, Mosques were humble buildings yet they offered so much. When the prophet arrived in Madinah the first thing he did was build a Mosque. This indicates the importance of a Mosque in Islam.
Boris Johnson on race: Refers to black people as ‘picaninnies’ and ‘with watermelon smiles’
Black MPs condemn Johnson:
Dawn Butler: “No one with such views can be the mayor of a city with the largest black population in Britain."
Dianne Abbot: "David Cameron is fooling himself if he thinks that Boris
Johnson's 1950s attitudes to race will be acceptable to Londoners, both
black and white."
In the Glorious Qur'an, Almighty Allah Ta'ala speaks of a people who
are detested by both Him and by those who are true believers. He speaks
of a people who wander this Earth defying Allah's Message at each and
every turn and turn others away from it too. These people are destined
for punishment in this world, in the grave and in the Hereafter.
Everything they do is in vain, from their intentions to their deeds -
everything is a lie, and the Curse of Allah is justified on them.
Shaikh Abdullah Quilliam was a native Englishman from Liverpool who converted to Islam and helped established Britain’s first mosque. He is also the personality that the Quilliam Foundation have chosen to named themselves after. Its therefore a little ironic that by the Quilliam Foundation's own standards, Abdullah Quilliam would probably be considered an Islamist.
