 I
generally don’t read FT so I had missed this. First there was the
Michael Gordon report in the New York Times, then there was Simon
Tisdall’s propaganda piece in Guardian, and it now appears the Financial Times
is being used for neocon propaganda (Calling it ‘Pentagon propaganda’
is inaccurate. The pentagon is not keen on this war.

Here at MPACUK, we worked tirelessly to ensure that Muslims used their vote based on policy rather than on loyalty and alhamdulillah we have been able to cause a shift in the majorities of the three parties. Labour lost 6,000 of it's majority and the Lib Dems came a close second. MPACUK would like to thank those Muslims that used their vote based on policy and not on loyalty. Our loyalties lie with Allah and the truth.

The Ealing Southall election was triggered by the death of Labour's Piara Khabra, who at 82 was the UK's oldest MP. In Ealing Southall, Tony Lit is standing for the Conservatives, Virendra Kumar Sharma is the Labour candidate and the Liberal Democrats are represented by Nigel Bakhai.

 The
campaign for a crucial London by-election slid into personal abuse and
bitterness yesterday as rival parties tried to exploit Tory
embarrassment over its candidate posing with Tony Blair. Labour branded Tony Lit unsuitable to be the area’s MP and called him a
“Tory playboy”. He was photographed only last month at a Labour
fundraising event with Mr Blair.

LONDON (UK): Shahid Malik, the first Muslim
minister to serve in a British government following last week’s appointment
by premier Gordon Brown, has tackled the issue of Middle East turmoil head
on in his first 3 hour Parliamentary debate on ‘aid to the Palestinian
authority’.
The newly appointed International Development minister said he accepted that
Hamas was important for a long term solution.

In a vile display of Islamophobia
a Captain of a Thomsonfly flight ordered the removal of a Muslim man from the
aircraft at Newcastle airport. What
crime could the passenger have committed to warrant such an action? He simply
asked the flight attendants if he could use the galley area of the aircraft to
pray before the plane took off for Malaga!

 In a new strain on
London-Washington relations after British Prime Minister Gordon Brown
assumed office, a British Foreign Office minister has said it is high
time Britain disengaged from the United States and started cementing
ties with European heavyweights and Asia's economic powerhouses.

'The carnage, the blown-up bodies I saw... Why? What was this for?' Terrifying house raids; random checkpoint shootings; speeding convoys that wipe out anyone in their path. Interviews with 50 US war veterans back from Iraq reveal the terrible daily brutality they inflicted on innocent civilians. A unique investigation by Chris Hedges and Lailia al-Arian

CAIRO — One of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown's closest aides has urged the United States to pursue a new foreign policy based on multilateralism and "soft power" as a country's strength can no longer be measured by its destructive force, the Guardian newspaper reported Friday, July 13.

In the UK, authorities have used anti-terrorism legislation to detain more than 1,000 people during the past few years and police can hold them for 28 days before they have to be charged. More than half of those held have been released without facing any court proceedings. In some cases, their names have been on front pages all over Britain by the time they are allowed to go.

Iran's Jews have given the country a loyalty pledge in the face of cash offers aimed at encouraging them to move to Israel, the arch-enemy of its Islamic rulers. The incentives - ranging from £5,000 a person to £30,000 for families - were offered from a special fund established by wealthy expatriate Jews in an effort to prompt a mass migration to Israel among Iran's 25,000-strong Jewish community.

Two ex-Bnp terror suspects not convicted under Terror Laws. WHY? We are appalled at the media blackout
surrounding the story of the ex-BNP terrorists. In spite of being found
in possession of the largest stockpile of explosives ever seized in the
UK, Robert Cottage and co-defendant David Jackson were NOT convicted
under the UK Terror Laws. Moreover, the story was accompanied by a
glaring absence of breaking news and hysterical headlines commonly
associated with ‘terrorist stories’, a blatant example of the double
standards prevalent in British society today.

The Muslim Public Affairs Committee (MPACUK), a leading British Muslim Campaign Group is actively supporting the Liberal Democrat candidate in this month’s Ealing-Southall by-election. Southall is one of the most ethnically diverse constituencies in the UK today, with a Muslim population of over 13,000. As in the Brent-East by-election in 2003, MPACUK have taken to the
streets, distributing thousands of leaflets urging Muslims to vote Lib
Dem.

As our readers are aware, in a recent article "Hamas FREES Alan Johnston and the Zionist state of Israel again TARGETS Vanunu", we highlighted the treatment of Alan Johnston and Mordechai Vanunu. Well MPACUK are very pleased to announce that there are 2 Early Day Motions before the House of Commons on these very issues. An Early Day Motion (EDM) is a formal
motion submitted for debate in the House of Commons. They are used for
publicising the views of individual MPs and drawing attention to
specific events or campaigns. An MP can add their signature to an EDM
to show their support for a particular cause or point of view.

HEROIN addiction among the Asian community of south Leeds remains "hidden" according to one drug worker. Nadia
Hussain said many drug users' fear of social shame and distrust of the
authorities made it almost impossible for them to ask for help. Tomorrow
she and her colleague Asna Amid will hold a Safe for the Summer open
day to showcase the services available to drug and drink addicts from
Holbeck and Beeston who have Pakistani, Bangladeshi or Indian origins.

non-Muslims from all sections of society to come together and engage in a

My latest Lib Dem newspaper has a front-page devoted to Iraq,
similar to page two of the last one just a couple of days ago and I
picked up a soggy leaflet in the street that seems to suggest they have
the backing of the Muslim Public Affairs Committee ( MPACUK)
on this issue. I’m going to say that Iraq isn’t going to swing my vote
in this election, but it’s a very clever strategy for this seat where
we have a large Muslim community.
