British Muslim's Social Responsibility
In today’s society, we don’t have to be deaf, dumb or blind to see the lack of
social responsibility within our society. Pensioners are being robbed in their
own homes, women are being murdered in the streets of Britain, families are
breaking down, divorce is on the increase, the rise in single parents, the
recent shocking report into British children, all are the problems which our
societies face in today’s era. As an Islamic principle, the idea of social
responsibility means that everyone comes together for the enhancement of their
community. MPACUK aims to empower the Muslim & None Muslim Community to fight
the social ill's of our communities together as a Community.

With the recent launch of ‘MPACUK’s My Britain, My Ummah: British Muslims’ Social Responsibility’ insh’Allah (God willing) we shall continue with it, starting by looking at responsibility to oneself. An important part of social responsibility within Islam’s ethical teaching highlights that every individual in society has a responsibility to himself. The individual is responsible for keeping himself safe, well mannered, healthy, doing well in society, learning from his mistakes and refraining from evil. The basic idea being that if one is responsible for himself he is not a burden for others.
