Hey I just heard the Gaurdian reporting George Galloway is considering running against Jack Straw, this would be very interesting as I believe Blackburn just lost all there Labour councillors in the last local elections!!
MPAC GG will need your help. Your last campaign against Jack Straw has paved the way for a new era. Keep it up MPAC I believe you. Inshallah another war mongering fool will be knocked of his perch. This would be a massive victory for MPAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually Jamaal you may be right..
"ENEGADE anti-war MP George Galloway is considering standing against Jack Straw in his Blackburn constituency at the next general election. After uprooting Labour's Oona King in London's Bethnal Green seat at the last election in 2005 Galloway promised to only serve one term. Kevin Ovenden, spokesman for Galloway, said that he was now considering whether to stand again as an MP and if so where. advertisement He said: "We have had calls from people for George to consider it. "It is in the pot at the moment." Galloway quit the Labour party in opposition to the Iraq war to set up his own party Respect the Unity Coalition. " http://www.blackburncitizen.co.uk/

How about an apology? I knew I was right, I do listen to his show on Talksport fridays and saturdays from 10pm to 1am and he has said he might run for election as MP again, in other words he has changed his mind.
So get your facts right!

Err Jamaal (if you are the real one and not a plant) he actually said you were right on his above posts. stop causing trouble for no reason.
As for the podcast ... i agree scholars get too much credit for doing a really bad job. They need to improve.

@The Scholar
Err, three of the greatest scholars of Islam, AbuBakr, Umar, Ali were all leaders. Just stop making excuses for our stupid scholars who are so incompetent they start pulling out each others beard hair when it comes to having eid on one day in the same damn town!!

sorry, which scholars are you referring to. who is following scholars, who are the leaders, who are you talking about?
so anybody following a decent and valid scholar/leader with the approriate knowledge, and for the sake of Allah and not for the sake of ignorance is wrong? is that what you are saying. i agree with 'The Scholar' that scholars are not nessecarily leaders. mpacuk are trying to promote their own ideoligical and political views through downplaying true and legitimate scholars and leaders.

To call fellow worshippers "scholar worshippers" is to accuse multitudes of your fellow Muslim brothers as polytheists. The Prophet-peace be upon him-told us that if one accuses another of polytheism, one of them is a polytheist! Think about the connotations of this my dear brothers. Also please remember that scholars are people who have actually spent years of their life studying our deen. I am not defending any wrong action or people guilty of not doing what they should be doing. I am asking you to consider how you word your position and remember that gheebah (backbiting) is absolutely forbidden (and saying it publicly is still classed as gheebah!)- Allaah advises us it is like eating the flesh of your dead brother! I am also advising that we are all accountable for our actions (including our speech) or inactions, so please MPAC - say what you wish to say, it's not a problem - just be careful how you word it. Yours very sincerely, your Allaah-only worshipping brother Muhammad Lee Biddles

Re Biddles - how can you claim "public accountability" is gheeba - what a nonsense.In your strange world that would mean the media simply would not exist since they would not be allowed to talk about anyone.Islam is not a backward step into ignorance, but a future of logic. Please treat it as such.

Salaamun `alaykum my dear Brother/Sister? Regarding your comment: "how can you claim "public accountability" is gheeba - what a nonsense.In your strange world ...", I must confess that it makes me very sad to see that the level that the ummah has sunk to is to make disparaging remarks about one another simply becasue we cannot see another's point of view. You do not know me and I do not know you but I know that you are my brother/sister and I would be willing to put my life on the line to defend you and protect you. That doesn't mean that we have to agree on everything or that we will always understand one another's points of view but please let us try to emulate our beloved prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) in having the best of morals and manners. Please see suurat Aal `Imraan (3:159). I conclude by apologising if my remarks have caused any offence, as they certainly were not meant to and praying that Allaah gives us good relations between one another here as we wish for in Jannah, Aamiin.

P.S. I did not claim that public accountability is gheebah. Remarks are made on the podcast that are a bad opinion about certain scholars, as opposed to facts - That is gheebah! If the news is reporting facts (as opposed to opinion)then this (mostly) is not a problem too. Please check the wording of a person's article carefully and ponder over what they are saying before jumping to (in this case incorrect) negative conclusions. May Allaah bless you and me and the ummah with wisdom and whatever pleases Him, and may Peace and blessings pour eternally forth on our beloved Prophet, his family, companions, and those who have inherited from him, (and make us among them) - aamiin

Please can you tell me, exactly what "facts" are incorrect?
It is sad that a Muslim has accused the author of the podcast of Gheeba and saying the facts are wrong in public (which is fine if you are holding him to account) but without evidence to back it up. surely it becomes Gheeba if one simply attacks/ complains in public but offers no concrete reason or evidence why. So please ensure that you quote the exact point within the podcast that is wrong so we can all analyse it. Please note as part of the Ummah - i too would die for you and am not saying you are not a Muslim but are wrong in this case.

salaamun `alaykum. I didn't accuse anyone of anything. I gave naSiiHah. If someone takes a good and useful understanding from this then may Allaah benefit us all! If not then we are all at a loss! The author mentions the names of two scholars (in the podcast) that he has asked certain questions and found their responses to be inadequate and then claims that they have insufficient knowledge in that forum. The author himself neither offers his own qualifications in that field to determine whether or not he is capable to make such a judgement, nor does he state the question/s given and the responses from the two shaykhs so that those who are listening to the podcast may make up their own minds on the issue. The Prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wasallam) told us to make 70 excuses for our brothers, so why are we jumping to make public accusations? Our world will not improve when we are seeking disunity and attacking one another rather than working together. "Hold on (tightly) to the rope of Allah together and do not divide (yourselves) - The Holy Qur'an, suratul-baqarah. PS...I've been very candid with who I am; who are you 'Biddles Please!'?
