Palestinians Killing Palestinians: Is There A way Out? Print E-mail

burned_palestinian_childAlthough 'Palestinians killing Palestinians' did occur in early 80's, and in 2001, this time the BBC's most popular phrase of 'Palestinians killing Palestinians' goes far much more beyond one's imaginary. In the eighties, the PLO was just evicted from Beirut after Israel's invasion. Abu Mousa-led Fateh faction clashed with Arafat's faction apparently, for power struggle. It lasted for three days. In 2001, Fateh and Hamas fought presumably, for the same reason more or less. More than 8 were killed. Many more were injured, or maimed. It also went on for three days.

In 2006 however, the ugly notion of 'Palestinians killing Palestinians' revisited and differently. It's entering its second year without a visible hope to end. One presumes, as do many that, every time Palestinians reach a breaking point because of Israel's stance towards them, they start to take it out on each other. Arguably, Palestinians' frustration with Israel, Arabs, and the international community tend to lead them into fighting one another.

For decades, Israel has been attempting to turn Palestinians against each other. Divide To Conquer. This time Israel seems to succeed. Late last year, body language analysis during Abbas, and his delegates with Olmert, his wife, and his cabinet in Jerusalem said it all. The hand shakes, the kisses, the smiles, the laughs, and the whole lot gave a message of a one team spirit. In contrast, was Abbas meeting with Hamas in Ram Allah in the wake of one of renewed clashes. The body language analysis showed two enemies were obliged to talk.

In Fateh, there are people who consider Hamas as a more of an enemy than Israel. Mohammed Dahlan undoubtedly, tops the list. In his speeches, never did he brand Israel as a bunch of whatever! While Hamas was described as a bunch of thieves.

If I were PM Ismaiel Haniyya, I would in a public speech say to the nation, (though we as Hamas won the free elections, for the interests of the Palestinian nation we are resigning, and passing power over to Fateh.) Hamas will have to go back to its resistance pockets, and leave Fateh who's favored by Israel, the US, and the EU, to salvage the Palestinians' daily lives.

Probably, time is not appropriate for Hamas to govern. In Algeria, in 1992, when the Islamists won the free elections, they like Hamas now were boycotted. Their strategic mistake was, (since they saw that, their democratic victory would slide the whole country into crisis) they didn't do what Hamas is advised to do now. To give power in to the Algerian Army. Had they done so, they would've saved more than two hundred thousand Algerians from getting killed, injured, or maimed.

Given Israel's, Fateh's, and the international community's attitude towards Hamas, Hamas has no choice but to do just that. Otherwise, 'Palestinians killing Palestinians' would continue, and daily Palestinians' lives would worsen even further.

so for the umpteenth time the Muslims should forsake transparency, Islamic democracy and well being of the Islamic population to the corrupt, vile brutal barbaric, insanity and violence of US, EU & iSS real hell?

How utterly disgusting and unacceptable. nauseating US baloney.

Whoever wrote this trash is for sure a propagandist for the Arab despotic leaders. the cursed house of al saud propagandist, K Batarfi wrote on his blog that "hamas & Hizb Allah etc were Iranian influence etc……………..

What PM Ismaiel Haniyya, should say in public speech to the nation, is:

DO NOT FALL FOR THE US DIVIDE AND SLAUGHTER EVIL IDEOLOGY: YES OPPOSITION IS WELCOMED BUT LET US HAVE OPPOSITION IN ISLAMIC MANNER NOT THE US; EU & iSS real Hell MANNER WHERE WE ARE MADE TO SUFFER AND WE ARE THE SLAVES:

IT is you the people who can decide, not the interfering barbaric mossad snipers.

Jihad has many interpretations even for Muslims.

Jihad means struggle, and its many incarnations include a struggle within oneself to rise to a higher spirituality, a struggle of the "pen" to convince others of your religion's authenticity, and, of course, its most commonly used formulation, which is the struggle against tyranny and injustice.

Salim Lone -Muslims fight for Political, not Religious reasons

These authors have only one aim in mind - Create a zombie population and let them accept injustice and tyranny as a way of life.
Throw in some McD's franchising outlet and kosherwood entertainment.

NO to your zombie ideology, Honour to the resistance!! Our motto

I would not normally seek to defend Hamas, but this article shows just how biased Al-Jazeera is. They seem to overlook that Amin Al-Husseini killed off the moderate Palestinian civilian leadership, especially those of the Nashabibi clan, in the 1920's and 1030's. As leader of the AHC he was more conerned about securing power and money for his own clan than stopping Zionists. He even admitted to the Peel Commission that his own people were selling Palestinian land to the Zionists for a very high profit. And then his inner circle ran away before the fighting started, taking their money with them to live in comfort in Cairo, Beyrut and Paris.
His nephew Rahman Abdul Rauf el-Qudwa al-Husseini carried on in the same tradition and imposed the policy of Sumud across the occpuied territories. Between 1964 and 1984 this man had cause the deaths of 38,000 Palestinians. Now we have Hamas, and they are not fit for government, but if the alternative is a return to Fatah then we might as well all become Shahids and blow ourselves up. What is Fatah other than an international criminal organisation? It has billions upon billions of dollars worth of property, yet it still steals bread out of the mouths of Palestinian people. It sold concrete to the Zionists to build the Wall. It deals in drugs, counterfeiting and money laundering. It stole 1 billion Euros of EU money.Where is Al-Jazeeras condemnation? Nowhere because they are just another group of pigs with their snouts in the trough.
