Salaam. I was hoping that you could help me. I have lobbied my MP about Babar Ahmad, Talha Ahsan and others such as the Guantanamo detainees. Read their stories here at cageprisoners. I was hoping that some of you readers would be able to write to him. If you do, give him a message from me. Tell him that a writer on MPAC sends his salaam and has contacted his MP. My MP does not support the one-way legislation that has put him in his position. Tell him my MP voted against the legislation. Here is where I feel a little embarrassed. I want to tell him that I have never specifically prayed to Allah for his release. He has always been included in general prayers. “O Allah please help the Muslims who are suffering and ease their pain”. I hope this lack of specific dua regarding him has not offended him. Instead, I did take time out to specifically see my MP to get him to help his cause, and Talha Ahsan and others. I have spent time writing this article to raise awareness within the Muslim community. I thought it would be better to spend time writing this article than writing to him personally. Tell Babar that I have never shed a tear for him as that would have been a waste of my time. Much better to use that time to save the tears of his father carrying the greatest burden, the body of his son on his shoulders. Lastly, could you ask him if he appreciates my actions more than someone who has made a specific dua to Allah and not acted to secure his release. I would like to know. If you get a reply, I would be grateful of you could add it to the comments below. Many thanks and Salaam. Readers have left 5 comments.

Now this is a sister and a half. All the rest of the Muslim populous who are ranting and raving about the documentary should take a leaf out of this book. If you think MPAC did a bad job instead of sitting at home and complaining why don't you do a better job? The answer is because you can't. All you can do is sit in your little corners and cry. So continue crying ... Or maybe some of you will actually do something positive. If any of you are out there - JUST DO IT.

salaam. i dont know what to say. Allah has not told us to turn to him in times of need for no reason. Ofcourse we should be striving to make this world a better and just place, but a huge problems now a days is the lack of putting full, and i mean FULL faith in Allah, ASWELL as contiributing as much as you can. Sheading a tear would mean so much if it really was a tear of sincerity. making dua really would work if it were that much sincere. Allah is the Protector, the Great, the MERCIFULL. its up to us to accept this mercy, by turning away and saying that what we do is more than Allah Hmselfs help then-ina'uthubillah- what kind of muslims are we. where has our FAITH gone.
Assalam

I have tried in vain to lobby my MP. Also sent all copies or often racist replies by my mp to mpac. But the stark reality that is dawning on me is MPAC has become a one trick pony. " LET GOTO BLACKBURN". Mpac was impressed but now feel your turning into a joke you have become media hungry fiends
