The power of the Israeli lobby is every anti-Semite’s delusion- the Israeli lobby shriek! Print E-mail
Friday, 22 September 2006

So let’s get this straight, Jenny Tonge says the Israeli lobby is heavily influencing the western world, and also probably her own party; the Israeli lobby then launches an attack to get her thrown out of her party (again) because she is clearly chattering anti-Semitic garbage. But hold on, if the Israeli lobby has no political influence, why have her comments been smeared all over the British press? Why is she again under intense pressure and facing being investigated by her party? Surely if the idea that the Israeli lobby was influencing the policies of western government was simply an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory, then she would be left well alone to babble her anti-Semitic rant?

The point is the power of the Israeli lobby is there for everyone to see. It is not an anti-Semitic slur on the Jewish people. Jews themselves speak out against the terrible influence of the Israeli lobby (www.jewsagainstzionism.com). The bias of the British government in favour of Israel is clearly shown again and again. Most recently in Blair’s refusal to call for an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon, despite massive public opinion and most politicians opposing his stance.

Jenny Tonge was sacked from the Liberal Democrat front bench in January 2004 after showing empathy for the plight of the Palestinians.

"I said, and I would repeat it now: if I had had to live through that as a Palestinian over decades and I was being given no hope for the future whatsoever I might have considered being a suicide bomber,"

"I condemn terrorism, whether it comes from bomber pilots dropping bombs on Iraq or Afghanistan or Lebanon or whether it's a suicide bomber.

"The suicide bomber is prepared to give his life, the bomber pilot goes home for a beer in the bar afterwards. That is the only difference."

The influence of the Israeli lobby in British politics was shown back then; Tonge was sacked for comments that showed the real truth of the Palestinian situation.

To allow criticism of Israel to be deemed anti-Semitic, or to allow those who look at the root causes of terrorism to be deemed as encouraging suicide bombers is to refuse to address justly the real issues of our age. The Israeli lobby must not be allowed to lead the dialogue.

Do not let the Israeli lobby get away with it again! Muslim, Jew and all those who believe in truth and justice stand up for Jenny Tonge, one of the few politicians who dare to speak the truth about Israel and the Israeli lobby.

Act now, email your support for Jenny Tonge and counter the Israeli lobby attack.

once again we can clearly see the double standard policy of these people!!! when it comes telling the truth about Israel you get thrown out, but if you insult muslims that is your freedom of speech!!!! I wonder what these people think about majority of British people who wants to know the truth!!!

Baroness Toungue hit the nail on the head. She articulates a position that rarely makes it into the public domain, the truth. Of course the "Israel Lobby" can't allow the truth to get out and so they predictably, call for her head and the spineless Lib-Dem leadership will cave in at the first opportunity. (Tip watch Dr Evan Harris's reaction to this story very closely). Mr Lib-Dem Friends Of Israel will choose Israel over the right to free speech every time. What embarrasses the Israel Lobby is ordinary people will start to consider the pressure that the Palestinians live under. What came first, the suicide martyr or the oppression he reacted to? The Israel Lobby are trying to take over the Lib-Dems and it is down to Muslims to join the Lib Dems and oppose the Israel Lobby from within the party. Victory to the Intifada! Isn't free speech a wonderful thing?

Very well said indeed, except there's another difference...

"The suicide bomber is likely to end up in Paradise, whereas the bomber pilot is likely to end up in Hell"

Can suicide bombers ever be justified? Professor Honderich, Britain's leading moral philosopher, is unafraid to tell the truth as he sees it. Taking what he says is the betrayal of the Palestinian people as his starting point, Ted reveals who shares moral responsibility for recent acts of terrorism, and points a finger at the politicians

To Iqbal: Your reasoning seems a little flawed? Isn't the bomber pilot who drops his bomb on a synagogue, but then goes home for a cup of tea, likely to end up in paradise and isn't the suicide bomber who martyrs himself, but does it in in a mosque, likely to end up in hell?

Baroness Tongue should rightly be drummed out of any political party in the UK.

Colin, there is absolutely no point in trying to reason with the people here. They're bound by the circular logic of conspiracy on these mnatters. Whatever happened they will intepret the world through that prism.

Even if the supposed Zionist plotters went on TV and said "it's a fair cop guv, you've got us banged to rights" the editors and contributers here would see a conspiracy.

The vast majority of them are Islamists who either openly support the use of violence or tacitly condone it on intellectually fatuous moral grounds anyway. There's little point in engaging with discussion with them as you'll only be called a zionist if you don't agree with them

On the contrary it appears as though there's no point trying to reason with people like yourself. People who'd just call us Islamists if we failed to agree with their lame reasoning. Not that you'd understand what an Islamist is of course.

Is anyone society from violence? At the moment it appears as though the most violent societies on more than one level, seem to be secular democracies.

Secular democracies trying to establish the religion of secularism in the Middle East and Afghanistan through means of 'violent secular jihad'.

Israel, another 'democracy' violently occupying another race through means of 'Zionist jihad'.

It depends what you label the violence.

(By the way FYI I hold suicide to be unlawful in any shape or form.)
