MPACUK Flashback: The Great Game Explained Print E-mail
Wednesday, 26 April 2006

Islam and Muslims are attacked daily in the media or politically, you only have to monitor a few days’ papers to understand this. What you probably don’t understand is how this fits into “The Game”.

Let me illustrate this by Muslim attitudes to and use of the “J” word. We do not want to be associated with the “J” word, we don’t use it for fear that we will be labelled as proponents of hate and we don’t recognise how the study of the “J” word will help us in our lives. The game with regard to the “J” word has been played successfully against us.

I have given talks on MPACUKs’ work to children varying from 11 to 17. As part of my presentation I have a slide which asks whether the following are Fard or not. I play this out by showing the words and the kids all call out the answer.

Shahadah (declare faith)
Kids: Fard
Salah (prayer)
Kids: Fard
Zakat (Charity)
Kids: Fard
Me: This is easy this isn’t it
Kids: Yes
Sawn (fasting)
Kids: Fard
Hajj (Pilgrimage)
Kids: Fard

Jihad (struggle or strive)
The kids go silent, the brains are clicking, they think, they contemplate, they fidget and then someone says “Not Fard” and all the other kids join in.

I explain the true meaning of Jihad to them, but if you want an illustration of the game, there it is. A whole generation of Muslims not wanting to be associated with the “J” word. They don’t even want to use the “J” word and thus become “J” word deniers. The game executed at its most skilful because not only have these kids and many other groups of kids and adults given me the same reaction, the people that taught them Islam obviously didn’t teach them this part of the curriculum. Who knows maybe the generation before dropped Jihad from their curriculum and that’s why it hasn’t moved on.

Now think about this carefully, you want to vilify a whole people and their beliefs. Well, to start with, you find the key defence mechanism in that belief system and nullify it. The defence system is Jihad and it means to struggle and strive, my Jihad is to lose some weight because I was definitely built for comfort, not speed.

A Mufti recently explained to a group of us that there are more than 13 different kinds of Jihad. He listed through them Jihad e Nafs (inner Jihad e.g. lose weight), Jihad e Kalam (Jihad of the pen) etc.
He told us the story of the Prophets (pbuh) poet. The man was a devout coward totally unable to defend even himself. He had, however, a God given gift with words and poetry. He could write things that hurt the Prophets (pbuh) enemies far worse than anything physical. That’s Jihad e Kalam and it was so effective.

The majority of the types of Jihad are peaceful and even when you read stories of Khalid bin Waleed and Saladin they exhausted all political and other possibilities before going into battle.

It is the game makes you ashamed of Jihad, the game that describes Jihad as holy war. The game that educates the masses that Muslims are totally different to everyone else and have to do Jihad against the infidels. That’s the game, it runs to a preset agenda and has definite goals.

The game is now working on Islam itself. The careful coordination between all the media, the various interest and lobby groups and politicians all adds up to the game.

How does the game end? The game ends in some poor Iraqi bloke hearing a whistling sound 2 miles up in the air seconds before he gets blown to pieces or burned alive. For the rest of us the game goes on.

The biggest problem with the game is that it doesn’t matter whether you think you are playing or not, you are part of the game and if you don’t actively participate you are automatically with the opposition.

MPACUK – Playing to win!

Indeed Jihad is fard. The only question is what one means by the actual word Jihad.
The J word that some fear to mention and non-Muslims fear is the actual Jihad....not the e-jihad, media jihad, gender jihad and the likes thereof.
Jihad has a very special status in Islam. We have been informed that actual Jihad will continue on earth until the Day of Judgement. However, in this day and age, Jihad is surely one of the most used and misused terms with reference to Islam. The distortion of Islam is one of the biggest challenges Muslims face in this day and age.
Islam is a practical religion and not one that is merely confined to the books. It is important, therefore, to find a balance which harmonizes our various needs and aspirations without comprising any of our Islamic principles. Islam is a perfect religion, a perfect system, finely balanced. If you put too much of one ingredient then the taste is likely to change and perhaps even become unpalatable. This is why it is crucial to try to learn the true understanding of one’s religion.
In our present situation we have to see what we have and see what the best course of action is for the Muslims in our present predicament. In deciding on a course of action it is important that our activities are firmly rooted in the right faiths and beliefs and that we continually seek guidance from the Almighty.

Indeed Jihad is fard.
When one refers to the “J” word without qualification without any prefix one refers to actual Jihad, this is the Jihad which puts fear in some peoples hearts and others are afraid to mention.

The intellectual warfare is upon us. Virtual scholars roam the internet trying to win the “hearts and minds” of the unsuspecting and the unprepared.
The meida and intellectual warlords are conducting a war just as viciously as the military warlords.
The intellectual warfare is increasing become more important. The intellectual war on Islam is as real as the physical war and perhaps much more important for the intellectual attack on the mind is far more destructive and permanent than conquering lands by military means.
Muslims have to realise what they are up against and learn to deal with it.
Muslims must acquire the knowledge of their true religion if they are to practice it and defend it. Acquistion of knowledge is a pre-requisite to the practice and defense thereof. True understanding of the religion is crucial, for how can you defend something when you are not sure what it is that you are defending. There is no doubt that God Almighty will preserve the religion he has chosen for mankind, the only thing we need to decide is if we want to be a part of it.
Those of us who have been endowed with greater intelligence, knowledge and wisdom carry a greater burden and their accountability will be proportionately more than others.

Every single day Muslims threaten and inflict upon the rest of the world the violent facet of Jihad.

Muslims created the negative associations that Jihad has in the minds of non-Muslims.

Muslims do this and then they cry foul. Only psychopaths can be such a state of denial.

Aslaam Alkium The intelluctual Warfare does more damage than any other warefare, because its psychological. In the interim, we muslims are rising not strong enough up to the challenges of this intellutucal warfare which is imposed on us, unconditionally. For years, the MEDIA, has managed to get away, with Creating sterotypes of Muslim people. For Example , a typical sterotype is that everyone thinks that Muslims conduct arrange Marriages, and are forced to marry from Parental choice. We need to wipe rheortic like that from the minds of the non-muslims. Its is rheortic like that which leads others to believe, that we are backward, their is a likelyhood what is being said in the media about us, holds strong truth. We need to be very DIRECT in dealing with the MASS MEDIA. First and foremost, we need to setup tools and channels which will help us overcome the sterotypes which exist against us. Children in Schools and in all levels of society are affected by these sterotypes because it would give the indivdual muslim an inferior complex leading on to frustration and negatively viewing Islam. If we are to engage in overcoming the negative perception people have about ISLAM, we need to CHALLENGE those Sterotypes, like the one I mentioned above. The following sterotypes apparently exists against muslims in this country (UK) in the minds of non muslims : 1.Forced marriages are a normal thingie. Its part of Islam2.We are all working class people, we dont excel in education/academia so hence narrow minded. 3. Women in Hijab are forced to wear it, and treated like 2nd class in their own homes. 4. Muslims with beard is a terrorist. 5. Anyone who practice Islam or defends Islam by way of arguement, they consider him/her to be a extremist.6. We are deceptive in business, and cheat on state benefits. 7. We cant speak proper english.Anyone knows anymore ? feel free to add on !!

The United States has over 13000 nuclear warheads at it's disposal; Iran would do well to remember this unless its wants to become a wasteland & a footnote in the history books.

Mohsin: Quote

If the Muslim Nations dont perfect their economies, then their is no opportunity to confront and influence those Nations who are against the values and interests of the Muslim Nations.

Clearly the Nations which are aiming to exploit the Muslim Nations, are doing it so, cause they have perfect economies. Their Armies are stronger and Stable, and resourceful, so hence they can play the game anyway they like. They know it will be a WIN-WIN situation for them.

Perfect stable economies would enable Muslim Nations, to equally launch the same level of attacks they impose on the Muslim Nations.

The Bottom line, unless a Muslim Nation emerges as a Superpower, our rights and values will always be exploited and under-mined. It will always be one-sided. The USA is the leader of the Western World. Where is the Leading Nation of the MUSLIM WORLD ?

You cannot win a war, if your army is weak, if your communities are impoverished and struggling. The morale of the story is that, if you destabilise a nation at the Micro-level, consquently it will struggle at the Macro-level. So if muslim communities are fighting against each other at the Micro-level, then a Weak Macro-level cannot support a Strong Army. Equally it also hinders innovation and production which is a pre-requiste for wealth and prosperity.

The pathethic circumstances of the MUSLIM NATIONS is NOT something which has just suddenly happened. These Strategies to humilate MUSLIM Communities, have been put in place many years ago. Today the fruits of those policies are being witnessed. Nothing new.

I remember listening to one of "Colin Powell" speeches, where he was clearly saying words like " We have to Re-shape the MAP of the MIDDLE EAST". Look at the attitude of these people !!!!

Its like you sitting in your house, and someone standing out side your house saying, I wanna take over what they have, and change the way they live.

Their are 2 options. EITHER we take them out first, or they will take us completely from the roots . In this world, ISLAM will always have enemies. So we must never take our eyes off the enemies, in this century we done that. Consquently We are paying the price and all suffering !!!/

I look forward to the day when there is an alternative to middle-eastern oil, after all they contribute nothing else to the world (unless you include immigrants & dull islamic rhetoric....not exactly a contribution).

Mike is right, the only thing the Middle East contributes to the world is oil. The days of the Muslim civilisation leading the way is history. Muslims can't even contribute towards their own safety and security. As soon as the oil runs out the Arabs will be annihilated just like Hitler's attempt to annihilate Jews. This time the Jews (Israel) will play the role of Hitler. And you will get no sympathy from the rest of the world. One piece of advice - use the oil intelligently while you have it.

Mike :

Your underestimating the potential and capabilities of the MUSLIM Civilizations. The only reason why you are saying, what you are saying is purely because your short sighted and equally you lack knowledge and awareness. Since you are limited in about your awareness, consquently the "Rheortic" you utter is equally limited as well. The GDP of the Middle Eastern Economies does not purely depend on oil. Seems like you havent visted places like UAE. We MUSLIMS dont need sympathy from the rest of the WORLD. We got the capabilities and resources to be more powerful and resourceful than the WEST put together. Its only a matter of time. Sucess doesnt purely come from wealth , its also spirtual. No point me elaborating cause you "MIKE" and your poodle "Chicken tika maslaa" perhaps maynot be able to digest the information. You both are blinded and fooled by the bias sources you read and the information which you get which influence's your mind and evoke your thoughts. Its people like yourself who are "one Sided" and dont have a balance of opinon.

interesting comments especially by mike and masala, however i do think they are tryign to spice things up! i think the midle eastern influence is lacking and they do need to focus their energies, however the comments made by both are from a premise of ignorance rather than knowledge!

i do have to question the comments of mohsin, his first email did raise some valid points especially when regards to fighting stereotypes
his secdond message had a very different message! i am concerned with the thought process that its either we take them out or we get taken out, highly questionable? i do feel that was very narrow minded and i do believe that co-existance is a reality and an option! a reality which can b created by both sides allowing open disucssions which sees pass the media propoganda! the US claims the middles east want world domination through Islam, whilst the western world wants its ideologies to be acccepted or force them in as we are seeing in iraq, in a process of democratising the world or some do consider that collonialisation is taking place once again! if world peace is needed we need to stop imposing out thoughts and ideologies upon each other and allow open discourse, whilst working towards respect for each other!

In case my post about `alledged forward deployment of Al Qaeda nukes' is misinterpreted, I should point out that it was meant as a further to an expunged post about scenarios for a Grand Strategy of Tension to retain control of the geo political agenda for the USA regime. Encompassing direct nuke attack on Iran, a CIA nuke explosion in USA as pretext for such in Iran or concievably an attack on Iran leading to a CIA nuke explosion in USA as the pretext for such in Iran & to threaten the world to prop up the petrodollar (& the prognosis for such). THIS was set in the context of how the diabolical trinity of USA petrodollar control, the Saudi fuedallists & the most reactionary clerical forces are interdependent. Eg the Saudi regime HAS to be aligned with arch reactionaries, to prevent the most reactionary forces converging on Mecca (so such constitute hired muscle). I also outlined how this can be resolved.
